  1. Cracking paint job, Sean. Huge respect for your ability to draw a line in the sand and sticking to it. Can't tell you the number of times I've tried to do that little bit extra, but my bin man can... 😁 mike
  2. Inspirational build Norbert. Thanks for sharing. mike
  3. Fantastic build and very inspirational. I'm pretty sure that I have one of these kits hiding in the loft. One day.... Thanks for sharing. mike
  4. Excellent stuff Dave. Fond memories of the Viscount for me, as my first flight was on a 700. Although I built an S&M one many years ago, I never got around to doing another, so F-Rsin could be the affordable answer. mike
  5. Loving the history, the photos, your uncle's drawing and your build and the attention to detail. Many thanks for sharing. mike
  6. Think you should Keith, and I think you should should post the photos on BM. It's a cracking build. Many thanks to everyone for their kind comments - much appreciated. mike
  7. Coming together really well 👍👍
  8. Heart-stopping moment, but it looks like it's going to be a good save. 👍👍
  9. Just the ticket, Sean! Amazed at how quickly the parts went from drawing board to physical existence. 👍👍 mike
  10. Cracking stuff. Really looking forward to seeing how these all fit together. mike
  11. I'd be happy to lend you some of my "Brute force and Ignorance" paste, but my modelling skills has depleted my stock 😁 I do have one these kits in the stash, so I'm paying careful attention to your progress. mike
  12. Extraordinary work going on here, Sean. Really enjoying the updates mike
  13. That's quite a collection Ray ! 👍👍 "Oz eye candy ?" 😁 mike
  14. Great build and great scheme. 👍👍 I built a Twin Otter in the same scheme, but I didn't fancy my chances with the decals, so I resorted to painting the tail.... mike
  15. Another cracking build 👍👍 mike
  16. Great finish on that, but I can only award you one 👍. (Would have been two 👍 if you had finished it in Tintin markings 😆) I think my heart would have been in my mouth when it came to laying down the cheatlines 😁 mike
  17. That is dedication to the hobby and the result has paid off 👍👍 Thanks for sharing. mike
  18. Another cracking build. 👍👍 I'm pretty sure that I have the resin bits lying around somewhere, and some resin engines for a scheme that took my fancy, but never saw the light of day.....yet. 😁 mike
  19. Very smart livery on a very old model. 👍👍 Brings back happy memories of my dad painting one for me back in the 70's, without using masking tape (it hadn't been invented yet 😁). It was my pride and joy, and did many flights around our garden before landing on the kitchen counters. mike
  20. What can I say, Alex ? With all of your recent posts, I'm like a kid in a sweetshop. Didn't know which one to start commenting on, but as the 727 was the first jet I ever flew on, these builds are probably the best place to start. All three of them are cracking, but being a "son of Africa", I'm going to have to put the Nigeria Airways one at the top of my list. Very sharp markings. Thanks for posting mike
  21. Built for our Club's "Mig Killer" competition, here's my take on Mirage F1-CZ "213" of 3 Squadron, South African Air Force. On 6 November 1981, Major Johan Rankin shot down a MiG-21 of the Angolan Air Force whilst flying "213" Kittyhawk's Mirage F1 kit in 1/48 finished off with a variety of aftermarket bits and pieces, and some elbow grease. Master Pitot tube Yahu Instrument panel Ejection Seat Reskit R550 Magic missiles Reskit Wheel set (the wheels in the kit are too large) Reskit Exhaust Paint scheme was completed with an assortment of Mr Colour acrylics, A-stand metallics and Hataka Lacquers for the camouflage. Markings came from the Albatross Models Dark Mirages decal sheet, and a Coastal kits display base was used as a foundation for the presentation Standard walkaround... ,,,with four from the top Thanks for looking mike
  22. Cracking build and finish all round. Exotic scheme, to say the least! I suspect that I may never see another one like it, so thanks for sharing. mike
  23. Perseverance on such an iconic design paid off, so well done you ! 👍👍 mike
  24. Well done Mike. Having built one myself, you've done a cracking job. 👍👍
  25. Many thanks JR. Done the Viscount, Boeing 720 and C-47 in Air Rhodesia colours and the Air Zim A320 in the latest scheme. All in 1/144, and all with homemade decals : Also managed to do the Air Zim 767, but I wouldn't pay Photobucket the ransom 😆
