  1. Good recovery Enzo. That’s some pretty bad quality control that you wouldn’t expect from Eduard. I was sorting out my build yesterday and my kit also has a warped part but nothing compared to yours. James
  2. That’s a tricky one Bob because the Tamiya kit is still well worth building. But then I suppose there are enough decal options to use a few on your Tamiya kits too. James
  3. Oh dear! For somebody who’s not supposed to be buying any new kits at the moment this could get expensive! Now where to hide them all? James
  4. Ditto what Chris said above. James
  5. Nice choice Matt. Like you I think that the OD and NMF combination looks very good. Look forward to following your build. James
  6. Just bacon here too. Nice bacon and nice bread buttered and you don't need to ruin it with sauces.
  7. I’d go for the Swiss one too Stuart. That will really standout in the display case. James
  8. Top work Enzo. A really nice model. James
  9. Thanks Craig. It’s turning into a really enjoyable build and once I’ve got some more nose weight sorted it’ll be into primer very quickly. @81-er Thanks James. It’s classic Hasegawa and any areas that need much filler are my fault. @Wings unlevel Thanks Gerard. She’s moving along quickly now. Thanks all James
  10. Nice start James Although I’ve never built this kit I’ve read that it’s a good one. James
  11. She’s starting to really look the part Gerard. Well done James
  12. Hi all. Apologies it’s been ages since I posted an update. What with half term holidays and general life stuff modelling has taken a bit of a back seat lately. Anyway there has been some progress. It's buttoned up and the wings are on. This was all straight forward with no problems, classic Hasegawa fit. The wings and nacelles came together very quickly and as the uc doors are closed the bays just needed a coat of Tamiya LP-11 silver and it was job done. 4A9B01B8-0329-4837-A098-BC23A741F8E5 by James Halls, on Flickr There was just the smallest of gaps along parts of the wing to fuselage joins so pit a bit of perfect plastic putty in where necessary. Sorry, bad picture. 2B69EC58-B81E-45DE-8B2B-CDB2272E0328 by James Halls, on Flickr And the nose section painted and weathered. I added the glazing today which was a near perfect fit. 192C7F31-EA8D-45A8-A034-A4211D543CA8 by James Halls, on Flickr The engines and their nacelles are also ready to be installed. Sorry no photo. And that’s where it’s at now. I’ll get the nose on next, I just need to work out where I can add some more weight as it’s still a tail sitter but once I’ve figured that out then I can get the rest of the glazing on, masked and start priming. Thanks for looking. Comments welcome. James
  13. Hi all. P-51C Little Jeep from the CBI theatre late 1944. Built from the 1/48 Tamiya kit and still missing its wing light! 9295B26E-751D-4DF7-9274-04BAB600E8F0 by James Halls, on Flickr 57614741-ED78-4DE6-A3D9-890405BB800B by James Halls, on Flickr 7AD6349D-2BBB-488F-99C5-7BCEAC0049A7 by James Halls, on Flickr 702FFE95-7E21-4BB8-A5A8-F62B973D302F by James Halls, on Flickr Thanks James
  14. Nice choice Matt. That’s great box art! Its sometimes easy to forget that 19 squadron flew the Mustang when they’re famous for being the first Spitfire squadron. Will follow along. James
  15. Nice choice Martin. It’ll make a nice change to have a South American Mustang in the GB. You’ll have a nice little collection of Latin American aircraft with this and builds to follow in the South of the Rio Grand GB. James
  16. Nice choice Enzo Good to see another post war build to go along with your H model and those are great markings you’ve chosen. James
  17. This is going to be an interesting build Rich. A Mustang on steroids! Will definitely follow along. James
  18. Great choice of kit Gerard. Nice to see a Mustang with roundels on. She’ll look great in those markings. James
  19. Very sad news. I loved the hairy bikers. RIP Dave and thanks for the entertainment.
  20. I’m sure it won’t have many rough edges and if it does just put it down to the desert environment😀 As for spraying roundels masking sets are the way forward. James
  21. Nice to see this one back on the bench and looking good Gerard. Good change with the decals. James
