    Hello chaps

     

    It's been ages since i last updated this there's been quite a bit going on so here goes.

     

    You'll remember that I had the cockpit all done and the fuselage buttoned up and the next job was to sort out the PE panels in the fuselage with the vents in. Well that's where everything went belly up. Basically I mounted them far too proud of the fuselage sides and instead of using pva glue as I should have I used superglue so they were where they were and that was it. 

     

    This was the worst side.

    I tried sanding them back which worked to a point but it was just to far gone after 3 sessions and was never going to look anything other than awful, especially under a silver finish. So, that all went into the bin. I bashed my head against a wall several times and then ordered a set of Overtrees and 3D printed decals for the cockpit from Eduard. While these were in the post I carried on with the wings and got them built up. The instructions state that the UC bays were interior green on this a/c so they had a coat of that and a wash, dry brush and flat coat.

     

    By the time the new kit arrived I was ready to crack on with the which cockpit which was given the same treatment as the first attempt.

    So once buttoned up the fuselage was joined to the wings.

    And this where I'm at at the moment sorting out the seams. Oh and this time I just scribed the vents on the fuselage sides which is what I should have done in the first place rather than using the PE. I mean who honestly likes that stuff anyway?!
