  1. looks very promising: https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/86383-jetmads-132-viggen/page/47/
  2. The way I see this work is to adopt the approach I see with Jetmads: have people sign up for kits to be issued. That way you have a good view on interest, cost etc.
  3. If this approach gains traction, it could open up avenues for say, the F-16A/B or new proper F-14, Super Hornet, EE Lightning etc...
  4. If they do the SPEY Phantom, they probably do this after the earlier versions (B,N,E,J etc). For the modular approach the whole fuselage needs changing. Practically another design...🤨
  5. Not sure if this was already posted, but this looks very very interesting. A whole new range of Phantoms in 1/32 scale; modular approach. The clip is self-explanatory. A new approach to modelling? https://fb.watch/7wH0Wyfo3h/
  6. A unique and amazing plane and project. Eagerly awaiting my copies. I wonder what will be next in this scale after the Learjet and the Neptune...
  7. I had both and while the AMK is a great kit, the Tamiya is just better in fit and shape. Tamiya is more expensive than AMK. AMK has an elaborate weapons choice.
  8. A surprising release...so next up, F-14B? and a D-version with carrier launch set? ...and then replace the outdated 1/32 kit? 😄
  9. I think the Viggen delivery is now on their mind for mid/3rdweek August? and then the Learjet. So, I assume they are just designing the SP-2H at this point? Wonder what the next 1/32 will be (apart from the 2nd run of the Viggen already announced)...
  10. No reviews done on the F-100C? I assume the tail and nose intake are the main problems like with the 1/48 version?
  11. I was asking about it as I think it is a great project and was recently checking the Dutch history on the SH-34. Stay the course and looking forward to updates whenever they come. Best Tim
  12. Found this review and found one and got it. Thanks for the review!!
  13. Colin, you are not kidding...that is A LIST...but yep maybe TLAR is something that works for most of us. I stick to the Tamiya one though...
  14. Looks promising though and then to think the Arado and the P-51B/C are also in the line-up...
  15. Well, they announced the trio of kits forthcoming in 1/32. The P-51B/C one of the others...which is great for e.g. the Shangri-La scheme of Don Gentile. While they are at it, they may think about re-issuing the TA-152 series...those sold like hot cakes too and now go fro 400+ USD on eBay...
  16. I guess only Special Hobby can do that. But granted the Tempest is of course different from the Sea Fury, even though they "look" similar at first glance. The Whirlwind is of course a very special kit as well from what we've seen thus far. The Sea Fury appeals to me as the Dutch also flew it during the Golden Years of Dutch Naval Aviation (with an Aircraft Carrier, HMS Karel Doorman), between 1948-1955. Then the Sea Hawk entered Dutch service (also a great topic to tackle by Special Hobby by the way in 1.32). Check this out: http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/html/vliegdienst_index.html http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/html/hawker_seafury_aan_boord_2.html http://www.vlaggeschipsmaldeel5.nl/html/sea_hawk_aan_boord_2.html
  17. Since the Whirlwind is nearly there, perhaps Special Hobby will tackle the 1/32 version of the Sea Fury since they have the Tempest line already? Thoughts? T.
  18. But does anyone know where this kit now is? Where are the molds? Is Meng going to do this?
  19. I remember Iain was working on a conversion set for the Trumpeter kits...some of this may be useful for this Vac-kit as well.
  20. Pretty cool to read someone else also got one. The cockpit is most likely yellowed when you receive it. This needs replacement. I have also invested in a cockpit and exhausts. The rest has to be scratched I think. John Wolstenholme built a great one: https://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal10/9901-10000/gal9922-Lightning-Wolstenholme/00.shtm And I know Airfix has not yet done a 1/32, so maybe this could be an exception to that rule?
  21. I recently purchased one as well. And the canopy is the main thing to replace so I am enjoying learning here how to do that in time. The type of non-yellowing plastic clear sheet to pick, I am still studying. Great work so far. This kit should be converted into injected mold. But I understand that Revell may have been inspired by Frank Brown's Hunter but not paying for it. This is why the 2-seater never happened from Revell. Perhaps Airfix could do the right thing and take this on as a project one day?
  22. Looking for 1/32 version decals for the XR 727 of No. 11 squadron with the orange elements on the tailfin. Were these ever produced by Xtradecal in that scale? https://www.ebay.com/itm/X72155-NEW-Xtradecal-1-72-BAC-EE-Lightning-F-2A-Collection-7-Options/372788456370?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dcf2ef1049ecc4a778330f0966840f2b0%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D184681865152%26itm%3D372788456370%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A1bdf2917-8a62-11eb-848c-6a207206d0d4|parentrq%3A559b73b81780ad396b4a4858ffc2bda7|iid%3A1
  23. If they deliver this and the praise comes, this would open up their business for sure. And it shows there are kits people really are very interested in. Personally I am very happy to see they added the 48-lineage to their range with the Neptune, B-47 and Fiddler. I can imagine the Saab 35 Draken in 32-scale would be a winner as well. Or another delta such as the Douglas Skyray, the Grumman Tiger, Banshee, F-5 etc.
  24. and a little elbow grease work should get me where I need to be...Although I could envision 2 greys as well
