Hi Roger,
I'm also an acrylics user and on my MiG21 I used Tamiya TS-41 'Coral Blue' for the interior as it's the closest I've seen to this 'orrible' bright turquoise colour, it is however a synthetic laquer in a spray can and dries very glossy.
Hope this helps..... Simon
It's a MiG 21 PFM (SPS), still not decided on North Vietnamese or NVA/LSK, although I have found on my Begemot decal sheet a North Vietnamese PFM in Soviet camo (replaced direct from VVS Stocks after the Vietnam war)
and thats tempting me !
Regards Simon
lol.....the North Vietnamese is still a go as of now......but still tempted by the NVA/LSK........or mebbe even a middle East one !
damn !.....too many appealing schemes available !
Regards Simon
Yes the coral blue is more relevant to the 60's and 70's Soviet fighters....the late MiG's and Sukhois (29's...22, 24, 25's and 27's) are a paler blue... almost an RLM 65 ? Hellblau

Hiya,
Been very impressed by the speed of some of the builds on here ! so just to prove I am actually doing bits on my MiG 21 here's the cockpit parts after a bit of dry brushing and detailing, (still got a bit more to do) then onto detailing the main gear bays
and continuing to add various rivets to panel lines/wings etc.
Regards Simon
