  1. Hi Guys, Just a quick question, what do you use to clean your Airbrush after spraying Future thru it ? at the moment I'm a bit reluctant to put it thru my H&S Infinity in case I knacker it up, so any advice relevant to the UK would be appreciated. Cheers Si
  2. Yes please do !.....always interested to see 'Fishbeds' Regards Simon
  3. Hi Louise, At a quick guess I'd say go for the 'D' pod which I believe is the daylight/optical pod, ....However I could be wrong :-) Regards Simon
  4. Nenad.......maybe you should do a quick 'How to' as regards the scribing......looks very impressive mate Regards Simon
  5. Finally fitted the Pavla canopy (well the windscreen part of it anyways) sloooooowly getting there ! Regards Simon
  6. You could do a 16th Air Army one based at Brandis in the DDR, at least one of em had a kinda mottled camo allegedly applied whilst serving in Afghanistan. Bort numbers and red stars would come from the spares box, although you may have to handpaint the 'Grach' (Rook) emblem ! Regards Simon
  7. Hi-Decal 72-031 Group Soviet Forces Germany 16th Air Army 20th Guards Regt (a/c of all 3 squadrons) including 'yellow 27' ( a sharks mouth a/c) (Free from Diego from HDL for participation in the ARC 'Warsaw Pact' group build) Hi-Decal 72-033 Assorted a/c ...Su-17M4R of Ukrainian Independent Recce Regiment , a Polish a/c and East & West German a/c too (including the decorative NVA/LSK JBG77 a/c) Regards Simon
  8. Yeah gotta keep my eye out for a few more as I have an Aeromaster sheet of 40th Air Army a/c ? 'Fitters over the Panshir' inc some Afghan and also Hi-Decal 16th Air army in East Germany. Simon
  9. Have to admit the SMER looks good shapewise and seems to have a better 'sit' than the Bilek, but the fit is terrible. Simon
  10. wow m8 .....thats very fast work ! , looking nice too Regards Simon
  11. Looks great m8 (even if it isn't DDR !) ;-), you must be pleased with how it turned out ? Regards Simon
  12. Hi Yufei, Watching this with a mixture of amazement and anticipation, looking forward to seeing the finished article. Regards Simon
  13. Hi... Any more progress with this ? Regards Simon
  14. First coat of primer to see what we're up against.....still a little remedial work needed but about where I thought I was Regards Simon
  15. Nose cone painted, Canopy masked and ready for priming..... the auxiliary engine air intake scoops have been added as SMER don't provide these rather obvious features in the kit ! no chaff/flare dispensers are going to be fitted. Regards Simon
  16. Thanks m8, don't think I'll need any for a while as I bought a few rattle cans of the Tamiya stuff and it covers pretty good and just as important..economically !, as for the canopy, scratching won't be necessary after all as my m8's gonna drop a Pavla PFM canopy off to me this Friday so it will then be all systems go again ! Regards Simon
  17. Can't go wrong with Harder & Steenbeck .... I've got the Infinity 2 in 1 and absolutely love it Regards Simon
  18. That cockpit looks the dogs danglies......can't wait to see more of this build ! Regards Simon
  19. Shouldn't be too much of a problem ...I'm lucky enough to have access through work to a large quantity of 'Ureol' ( a patternmakers sandable carvable resin) and I'm in the process of whittling a new master to form a replacement. Failing this I'll buy a new Pavla canopy Regards Simon
  20. Looks very good m8 !.... the covered canopy is something often seen on Soviet aircraft...(indeed often they tarp up the whole front fuselage) and is not often reproduced on model a/c. Regards Simon
  21. wings and fuselage all filled and re-scribed where necessary.....build is now temporarily on hold due to me bu**ering up the canopy whilst attempting to vac form a new one using the original as the master Regards Simon
  22. Then whats the Su-17 gonna be then ?....if its non Soviet it'll be a Su-22 (the export version of the Su-17)
  23. A little more.. Canopy fitted & filled and pylons fitted and partially faired into leading edge of wing (shocking fit !) Regards Simon
  24. hope you've got plenty of filler for the spine Giorgio !...it's a bit of a pig Regards Simon
