  1. Great work on the wing panel lines and rivets will also have to look at that method too. The cockpit details look great in situ too. I can't wait to see all the effects recreated and this will make it one very nice model indeed. Chris
  2. Looks stunning and a great and informative WIP too. Thanks for sharing. Great work Chris
  3. The F1 looks absolutely gorgeous David great work and great Tutorial too, thank you. Although as Steve said you have shown us a kit we now need!!! SWMBO will be annoyed!!! I am looking forward to the PR mkit too. Chris
  4. Thanks Andy, that's interesting info and thank you for the kind offer I will have to look to see how to do that and make a bigger base to be able to, but yes please if you could send some pics. I shall PM you with my email address. Would love this too, I used to drive past every day to and from work every day used to love seeing the aircraft coming in and was lucky enough to pass as one of the Spitfires came into land and passed directly over the car before touching down as I passed with my sunroof open . Loved driving past there but am now working from home since March. Chris
  5. Oooooo great good to see this on the go with the Eduard kit, got this one in the stash and will watch with interest . Great start. Chris
  6. Absolutely stunning. Great work and very informative and useful build thread too. Brilliant. Chris
  7. Oh wow another lovely Tiggie, great work and great back rounds too, are you using backrounds you have photographed or downloaded? They look really good together . Like the Prym thread used it on my Stearman build and its the first time I have rigged a model in a single evening! Great stuff. You have done a cracking job. Chris
  8. Great job Mike on your first but of rigging, there is no stopping you now. The Glad looks great in the silver scheme. Chris
  9. Crikey that must have been a heart stopping moment when that slipped. Glad your gorgeous model survived okay and was quickly put right. Great update and what a cracking job. Chris
  10. Very nice work your model looks great. Got one of these in the stash glad to hear it is a pleasure to build. Great work Chris
  11. Thanks dnl42 for the heads up, I understand the wing struts need to be moved inboard, I think by 1.5 mm or there abouts where they meet the wing. I will be doing the box art option and will look at that wing mount of of yours too. Thanks ever so much for providing some much needed inspiration as I had put it back far down in the stash after looking at it, although mojo is slightly lacking at the moment anyway. Thanks again Chris
  12. What a great journey, I have just caught up with this cracking build thread. Wow, great work and innovative modelling solutions, I particularly liked the engine jig , that is pure genius. Really great work and a fantastic model . I have added to faves so I can refer as I have this very kit in the stash and it was the box art aircraft that attracted me to the kit too. Thanks for sharing Chris
  13. Sorry David I am none the wiser there, not a fan of Tamiya paints as I brush paint and for that I have never had any success with them so use Humbrol enamels. Chris
  14. Great work on the paint looks good and fin flash looks good too. Are you painting all the roundels and Sharon codes too? Chris
  15. Good to see you're back on this. I am not a fan of scribing either, but needs must sometimes. Great job fella Chris
  16. Thanks again 303sqn you are a star i am thinking the dark green colour? For the light cover, initially I thought black but it seemed lighter than the black on the tyres in the initial colour image. Also thank you very much for the pic of the mirror too. Brilliant. Chris
  17. Hi Charlie thanks . I usually do that but in this instance I will follow the photo as it is my specific Airframe that I am modelling. I think I saw an thread on here somewhere but am unsure and wondering if I am going mad or not!!! I will see if I can find it. Chris
  18. Thanks 303sqn do you know i feel a bit of a wally now as I have seen that photo before and forgot about it, doh!!! I had noted it previously as being helpful in making the rear view mirror. I am going to say I was tired after a busy day at work, thats my excuse!!! Thanks for posting Chris
  19. Hi Mark, not sure yet as will be a way off as have builds queued ahead of it. Chris
  20. Hi all I am building a model of Mk Vb EN951 RF-D and have a question re the light on the fuselage spine just aft of the radio aerial mast. Ther is a cracking image on Wikipedia when searching for this aircraft and it is in colour and in flight which shows theight as fuselage colour. Is this correct or is it a colourised image and been filled in by mistake ? I apologise if this has been asked before. Thanks Chris
  21. These look great, it's a shame about the paint on the Tiffie, but great to see 2 old projects getting done and seeing the light of day. Hurricane looks great too. Chris
  22. That is one massive looking machine Mark. Great work and great progress to you are going great guns on this, hope the replacement plasticard arrives soon. Chris
