  1. Can anyone gimme photographic information of the Sea Harrier FRS Mk 1? Is hard to find this kind of information in internet.
  2. Thank you very much for your comment. I'll consider this. Maybe the barley grey is a colour that gives a change for the omnipresent desert pink, but the desert pink is more suitable for worned-out and dirty effects... Um... Not easy to take a decision!
  3. The cockpit is just a little miracle! VERY GOOD JOB indeed! I'll watch your post with interest!
  4. Well, i continue with the decals: And some worn-out effects Detail of the burned tail: The fixed nose section, and double radar system: Jet exhaust nozzles: And, that's all folks!, News soon..... (I hope !)
  5. Hi all! I use watercolour pencils in many ways, but i think the most interesting of them is to use the pencils as if you draw on paper. You need: Watercolour pencils... (of course) a stump or cotton stick, if you want to expand the pigments with a dry technique... Or a wet brush, if you want a smooth effect... For example, you can draw directly on the area that you want to weather... That's an interesting effect!, but if you want to smooth it, you can apply the wet brush in small circles... and, that's the result: Is not an "airbrush effect", but is an easy way to simulate dirty spots. Another example: I hope, this helps! Remember to protect the watercolour with a coat of ENAMEL varnish, and NEVER with a WATER based varnish!
  6. Thank you very much for the information! I'm only trying to show a possible configuration, with tiald pod and the two LGB's under the belly. If is not a "real" configuration doesn't matter. The operational use of the tornados in the first Gulf War is a real trouble, even for the tornado pilots! The first Gulf War was the theatre of trials for the new technologies: Laser designators, alarm missiles, night vision devices, etc... When you ask for a single unit use the information is confuse and poor. Two or three pylons under the belly, the use of alarm missiles or TIALD pods, etc... I think the model is more attractive with this LGB's, that's all!
  7. Yes, that's it. But the pencil allow a more accurate application!
  8. Nice project! I'm waiting for your progress!
  9. Sorry, is a watercolour pencil! Is a kind of coloured pencil, but when you draw with it you can spread the pigment with a wet brush. An example: The use of this pencils is easy, and the results are easy to correct too! I commonly use for dirty effects.
  10. Yes, i know. Is one of the mistakes that i make. Another mistake is the position that i saw the nose cone, to show the radar system, te correct section is that one: I'll try to fix it this weekend.
  11. I continue on. First coat of "desert pink": close view: Undercarriage: reverse thrust levers: 2250 lt tanks and TIALD pod: BOZ-107 chaff/flare dispenser and Skyshadow ECM: And the wonderful LGB's from Flighpath: The next step is to apply decals and begin the weathering process... More news soon! (I hope!)
  12. Yes, i know that. I leave the struts to hold doors for the final stage of the build. There are too many little and delicate parts that i want to put in the model, but i'm waiting to the last moment. The Revell version is the most detailed and accurate at 1/72 scale, and the decals are superb!

  19. Some progress: the main body is almost finished if you want an advice: DON'T OPEN BAYS!!! IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! A view of the Flightpath's pylons (a fine choice!) And the first stage of paint: pre-panel lines: And that's all for the moment!
  20. The open avionics bay is scratch build with plastic foil, is not part of the kit, but is an easy transformation if you have the photo references. Thanks for your very kind words!
