From recollection the Museum airframes are the BAES Development Aircraft (DA2 & DA4), so not Production standard.
-
If that was the case, all those Tornado, Jaguar, Buccaneer, Hawk etc., kits would also be subject to the same 'licenced by' caveats, but I don't recall seeing any? Regardless, there's clearly a gap in the market for a decent EF Typhoon, and I'd also welcome a 1/48 Jaguar. If done to the same standard as their Hunter I'd be more than happy

Agree with all the above, but the Beardmore Inflexible remains the most under-modelled subject in any scale

Sad times indeed

I entirely understand the challenge faced by manufacturers; that said, the Whirlwind is already designed. I for one have always been grateful for SH taking on the lesser known subjects. There always seems to be room in the market for another Bf109 though!
-
I sincerely hope SH review this decision, as the Trumpeter Whirlwind is not well regarded in terms of accuracy, although it builds easily enough.

Well I'm glad we got that one cleared up!

Looks like my 'no, the stash is full' New Year's Resolution is doomed... Is the Zvezda decal sheet resemblance to Begemot purely coincidental?

1/32 - Sukhoi Su-2 (M-82) resin kit by LemKits - released

Quite unusual to see a newly released model going to the highest bidder? -
Particularly pleased to see the Beagle Bassett. I missed it back in the day and always wondered if it was a decent kit. Thinking of a diorama with a Raspberry Ripple XS743 - which I last saw parked in a kneeling position at the side of a runway somewhere in Wiltshire
-
OK if I tag along too? Also a nostalgia trip for me as I built one as a schoolkid back in the '70s. The landing light issue got me all curious, and a (very) quick Google search found this:

My thoughts exactly. Not binning my Eduard/KP rebox just yet...

Whereas the BFC colours are a close third behind Clostermann's and Beamont's aircraft Seriously, it's a new one on me too - would like to see photos of the original

The UK price from Hannants (including VAT) is still £80 as a pre-order.... goes to £90 once it's in stock. Presumably local taxes would be added at the destination country?
-
Very welcome! A great kit, and some very interesting decal choices. The price is right too

All this idle speculation - really! Obviously it's going to be the long-overdue Beardmore Inflexible. Be sure.

Roden tried it with their Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter. Not sure it was a success though -

Inspiring work so far Also great to have the benefit of so much 'applied research'. Even better that it all agrees I recall my school-days build in the '70s making extensive use of yellow zinc chromate; a fact which started bothering me so much I recently -following your example - went on a famous auction site and 'won' one... as I always tell my wife. Your build is definitely pushing it to the top of the pile

1/35 - Messerschmitt Bf.109G-6 "Gustav" by Border Model - released
B_Bogus replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
For the space-challenged, I guess it would make a great 'hanging off the ceiling in a vertical dive' accessory Seriously, for once I'm looking forwards to the rivet counters' assessment of this one.- 44 replies
