  1. Thanks to all for comments, You don´t need to know Mirage variants in deep detail, as Modelsvit released rebox with RAAF marking 😉 Thanks, you can look for more photos to mentioned blog🙂
  2. Hello fellow modelers, Finally I am glad to present my recent finished kit, The Mirage III EA. For more pictures and details I would be glad if you visit my full article here: https://72insight.com/en/mirage-iii-ea-1-72-modelsvit/ Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Also some highlights from the build are in my continuous thread here on BM: David´s highlights from the workbench - Mirage III EA
  3. Hello, nice to hear MAC is good kit, as I have one in my stash 🙂 Good luck with your second build 👍
  4. Also both BAe Hawks are finished. At the end I'm a bit disappointed with the Airfix Hawk, as the kit suffers from a few flaws that bring the kit down. As an example, I can mention the poor quality of the windshield and its gluing. Furthermore the shape of the landing gear covers are wrong. I discovered it at the very end of the build. As a solution I used parts for the closed undercarriage variant, which I cut, made more thin and arbrushed. I did all this twice for both hawks and I don't even understand how such a thing can go wrong. As there are not much choices of Hawk in 1/72 scale I am afraid I will use more Airfix kits for my planned big collection. Or at least I can try Revell for the T1 version. Revell is cheaper and seems more detailed... Actually both Hawks are in my displaycabinet and I hope I will put it into galery soon...
  5. I finally found the time to write some words here and also ask myself what I have been doing on my workbench last few months So here we go: First of all, A-37 is finished.
  6. After some in-box reviews I had not good impresions about the kit. Surprisingly the finished kit looks really nice 👍 . As I see, I suspect the brake holes in the flaps are a bit smaller 🤔 just compared with some random photo
  7. Hello, actually I am building Airfix Hawks. Red Arrows and black training one. I am quite disapointed. In some areas the kit is more or less a toy and not model. Last issue which I faced was the shape of wheel bay cover, which is to small and causes strange looking. The solution is to take and cut additional cover for version with closed bays which has right shape. The next point is, that red arrows Hawk has no exhaust tubes for colour efect above of the engine nozzle. I bought a cheaper Revell kit in order to compare it with Airfix. The Revell looks a little more detailed. But I can not comment the fitting and building at the moment.
  8. It is very difficult question 😀. I have all 3 sheets from Exotic for Me-109 E. At least I would like to build one early marking and one with yellow. As the Tamiya is building friendly kit, I think, I will manage more 🙂
  9. I was not aware that Italeri is too bad. But now we have a very nice Modelsvit kit available 🙂
  10. It nice to see some modeling work from Bulgaria 👍 . D-520 is really nice , congratulation ! Don´t worry about visible seam line. It depends on used glue and its amount which works for a long time. Sometimes I treat this area by filler but after a few months there is developed visible seam line too... The Bulgarian Air Force MMP books are phantastic. I have it and plan to build a big collection of Bulgarian models. Last time I obtained Exotic decals for Me-109 E....
  11. Perfect F-15 👍 . I especially like the weathering of the fuel tank, really superb.
  12. Thanks to all for explanation. First of all, I missed the point with 3D parts conversion. I thought there will be also a new sprue + 3D parts to existing kit. My mistake 😅 So with this point of view SEA Hurri Ib makes sence. It will be interesting how many modellers will acept some little surgeon work for adaption 3D conversion. As I understand, in this case it will be needed to cutout lover rear fuselage section. Well, I will look for some more detail information and hope I will need no more than one SEA Ib in my stash 🙂
  13. To be honest, considering all the possibilities what could be a new variant this announcement is the most uninteresting. I would appreciate Hurri IID or IV, even another YAK-1 variant, or new P-51 H, cavalier etc.... Is really Sea Hurri Ib interesting for anyone there?
  14. Hello fellow modelers, here is the result from our local group build. Some in progress photos you can find HERE It is the Hellcat Mk.I, JV132, 800. squadron FAA from HMS Emperor flown by Lt. B. Ritchie who claimed in May 1944 a FW-190 and later more Luftwaffe planes. .
  15. Hello again, last time I finish and present kits more than building it. Here is my one of the older kit. It is a result of local group build in spring this year. The Hellcat Mk. I , 1/72 Eduard. Bellow you can find some higlights from the build and Here is the galery. Starting as usual with the cockpit area. Correction of the internal line in the canopy which is visible in the first window section from the left. Finished: Tamiya mixing of the colours: Ready for camouflage. Unfortunatelly Eduard Hellcats in both scales have a long shallow sing mark along the rear part of the wings. I tried to eliminate it a bit. For this camouflage it is not visible, but for the glossy dark blue camouflages I need to take care even more. Some work on camouflage, litle corection of the shades and comparison with the old Swordfish colours. I started decaling to a bit correct the number 132 as it was painted by black, but decals are dark brown. And now finished kit Here
  16. I like it and looking forward to get one. The only imperfection I see is the fitting of the rear canopy glass.
  17. Thanks a lot for explanation and interiour photos 👍 I know Zvezda is really accurate Mi-24, but I dont like almost invisible panel lines and the buildability. This was reason to start Hobby Boss to compare it in building point of view. My plan for the future (or modeller dream? ) is to have 24x Mi-24 helicopters done in my display cabinet in a variety of camouflages.
  18. Thanks a lot for those incredible photos. Please can you describe what is wrong on the Begemot decals? I need mainly insignias, they seems to be correct. The number 202 I will draw and print myself. I will do the Mi-24 without any lettering as yours, but please can you briefly describe what means "VAM" ? Just only for my interest. I guess "MAF" means Macedonian Air Force. I have two Mi-24 in progress. One Hobby Boss and other one is Zvezda, which is more flexible to adapt differences between variants. It seems that Macedonian No.202 is early Mi-24 V with gun camera on the wing, which can be build from Hobby Boss and Zvezda too.
  19. I like discussion about every new kit. I think everyone can say his opinion. Also about the value and price. But I really don´t understand why there are so big complaints about "expensive" new Arma Hobby. Let´s answer your self a little check-list like I am just doing bellow: 1. How many kits I have in my stash? 200+ 2. Is better P-39 in 1/72 available ? No 3. Is cheaper P-39 in 1/72 available? YES (Academy) 4. Do I need good P-39 kit ? YES Result: I will buy Arma Hobby P-39. In case I have no money for it, I can sell or build instead some of the 200+ kits in my stash 😀 Anyway, for those who would not accept the price, there is still option to buy cheap Academy kit 🤠 Well, to be honest, Arma is the only company which understood needs of modelers who want to build models. Of course there are still a big potential to improve their stuff ( e.g. sink marks on P-51 etc..). But at the end I am glad that I will have more expensive Arma Hobby instead of Eduard with their cheap and ugly decals 😉
  20. It is hard to believe, this is an old kit. Phantastic result there 👍
  21. Hello, it is really superb build 👏 I know, that Zvezda is not easy build, but you managed it very well. I like Mi-24 and also was interesting about this particular camouflage. For those who would like to build it, the decal sheet from Begemot Мil Мi-24V\VP\R\К Hind family (2) 72-064 offers two options of Makedonian Hinds. Unfortunatelly I did´t find the real photo of this particular machine (No. 202) . Please, do you have any ? There are a lot of photos with Mi-24, but with some insignia in the front fuselage which is missing in decal sheet.
  22. Very nice UM. I really like it, but I see little imperfection at the nose. The cone should be sharp and a bit more centered I thnik.
  23. Hello fellow modelers, again some published kit finished in the past. You can find the pictures and some words under link there: Republic P-47M Thunderbolt 1/72 Tamiya
