  1. Thanks TT, I agree and will go with that. Richard in NZ
  2. As the aircraft had no guns, were the underwing cartridge chutes covered over or simply left as they were? I can find no photo which clearly shows the area. Thanks for your help. Richard in NZ
  3. Thanks Homebee. Odd, I thought it would be a natural follow-on to the J, Hasegawa being old(ish), expensive and hard to find. Richard in NZ
  4. Any news about a 1/72 F-4B from Academy? Richard in NZ
  5. 1/72 Beaufort. Simple. Hart family would be nice too. Richard in NZ
  6. Nice work! I do think that the Alley Cat resin rear fuselage gives a more accurate appearance, if you can be bothered. Richard in NZ
  7. Thank you gentlemen. Only the Aussies would wash off the temporary camo by stuffing the aircraft into a creek, though... Richard in NZ
  8. Thanks Brian, I have learned something. Richard in NZ
  9. Nice models! I had always thought that the camouflaged Aussie Mirages were green and grey, I have never seen a green and brown one. Do you have a photograph of the full-size aircraft? Thanks! Richard in NZ
  10. Odd - when I posted mine was the first post, and I used a different heading. Must have been moved by the Thought Police. No matter, it was just a little joke. Richard in NZ
  11. At last I posted before Homebee! Hoping for 75(NZ) Sqn decals. Richard in NZ
  12. The answer remains the same - 1/72 Hart/Demon and Beaufort. Richard in NZ
  13. Is that not a Devon? Splitting hairs, I know, but the RNZAF had a large number of Devons. Richard in NZ
  14. Brilliant. Not sure if I will be brave enough to build it, but just brilliant. Richard in NZ
  15. I agree with Rabbit Leader, the camouflaged RNZAF Bristols are such a marvellous anachronism. I flew Wellington - Auckland in one in the 1970s, facing backwards with earmuffs on all the way. Others will know more, but I recall the story of an American air traffic controller in Vietnam asking the pilot of an RNZAF Bristol to confirm that his undercarriage was down, to which the reply was "Affirmative - down and welded"! Richard in NZ
  16. Six months on... are these decals going to happen? Richard in NZ
  17. All very nice for the Munchkin scalers, but any news on the Fly 1/72 kit? Richard in NZ
  18. "Slack dragon" and "slut dragon"???!!! Something lost in translation, methinks. Richard in NZ
  19. Beautiful model, and great to see one in VNAF markings. Richard in NZ
  20. Splendid model and interesting story, thank you! Richard in NZ
  21. Whirlybits produce two replacement rear fuselages, one for the FAW1/4/5 and one for the FAW7. See www.whirlybirdmodels.com, also available from Aviation Megastore. I have no affiliation to either company, just trying to help. Richard in NZ
  22. Can anyone direct me to a review of the Freightdog Tempest VI conversion, or offer any comments? Thanks for your help. Richard in NZ
