  1. Thank you all for your help! Richard in NZ
  2. Model Art decal instructions suggest BS860c:539 red or BS860c:538 post office red. Can anyone provide a definite colour please? It appears from one photograph that the nosewheel legs were painted a colour that looks the same as the red. Any ideas / confirmation? Thanks for any help. Richard in NZ

IIRC the "a" in CLIIIa indicated that it had the Argus engine, rather than the Mercedes of earlier models. Others will no doubt know more. Richard in NZ
  4. I am half way through the Aeroclub/Hasegawa conversion, so now this comes along. You are welcome... Richard in NZ
  5. Thanks again, Antti. Richard in NZ
  6. Thanks very much, Antti and Pat. Richard in NZ
  7. Thank you Seahawk, very helpful! Richard in NZ
  8. Could someone kindly confirm the serial of 3 Sqn's Javelin T3, and did it carry the green fin band? Many thanks. Richard in NZ
  9. I am (slowly) building an AEW1 using the Aeroclub conversion and Hasegawa kit. The Aeroclub parts are very well done with fine panel lines and fit perfectly with the donor Hasegawa bits, I am very impressed. Recommended if you can find one. Richard in NZ
  10. The photo of Skyraider AEW1 WT987 is brilliant; the yellow Suez stripes only applied, with the dark blue taking the place of black and underwing serials still visible on the blue sections. I have not seen that before, though I am sure other BMers will have. Richard in NZ
  11. Thank you very much gentlemen. I think my uncle was responsible for the 17.5.39 episode! I will see if I can post the photo. Richard in NZ
  12. I have a photograph of the rear fuselage of K5234, which my uncle crashed in 1938 or 1939. It has a squadron marking partly visible on the rear fuselage. I am without any relevant references, and would be very grateful for any help in identifying: 1. Aircraft type - Hart or Audax I think. He always said the Hart was his favourite aircraft. 2. Squadron? May be 113? 3. Squadron marking on fuselage? Many thanks in advance. Richard in NZ
  13. Thanks very much Dave, I will go with that. Richard in NZ
  14. I am a little short of reference material. What colour were the two gas bottles on the fuselage upper decking behind the pilot's headrest? TIA. Richard in NZ
  15. I built this kit in the same colours in or about 1968. Brilliant stuff, well done! Richard in NZ
  16. 1/72 Beaufort and Hart family. Is there an echo in here...? Richard in NZ
  17. The RNZN did not use the Devon. The boxtop illustration is of a "warbird" (which war please?) current civilian Devon formerly used by the RNZAF. Magua87's post shows just two of many attractive RNZAF schemes and variants. Richard in NZ
  18. Serge I have one spare, PM me. I am in New Zealand. Richard in NZ
  19. Seriously, do we need to be SHOWN how to fix something as minor as this? I thought this was a forum for modellers. Jeez... Richard in NZ
  20. Thanks TT, I agree and will go with that. Richard in NZ
  21. As the aircraft had no guns, were the underwing cartridge chutes covered over or simply left as they were? I can find no photo which clearly shows the area. Thanks for your help. Richard in NZ
  22. Thanks Homebee. Odd, I thought it would be a natural follow-on to the J, Hasegawa being old(ish), expensive and hard to find. Richard in NZ
  23. Any news about a 1/72 F-4B from Academy? Richard in NZ
  24. 1/72 Beaufort. Simple. Hart family would be nice too. Richard in NZ
