If you can't get it right, what chance do the rest of us have? Gorgeous!

Thanks very much Pete, I didn't get too involved with putting things right being as it's more a canvas for the colour schemes rather tan an attempted at an accurate PR.9.

Very nice! Fascinating to have pieces of the real plane incorporated in the model and its base.

The four models of XH135 will be in 1) silver, 2) green/grey, 3) hemp and 4) grey, I guess?

Thanks Doc, you are correct about the other scheme's too. XH135 was the first PR.9 to be painted in the Hemp.

Amazing work, that is a gorgeous Canberra!! The paint job is fantastic and I love the idea of the base is made from the actual aircraft.

Thanks, having part of the real aircraft does add a bit extra to the build.

Are there any scale drawings of the modifications to the W.2 configuration? I recall a conversion set for the Airfix kit but don’t recall who did it.

No 'scale plans' but these may help?

Thanks for those, I have something similar in the book, but printed much smaller!

Shame it's not a 4 view though, that would help immensely with semi exact placement and dimensions.

If it was an American T.O. they do them as a plan view showing placement of the access panels but not to scale, but all the AP's I've seen do them like this.

They are good views John, Ive made quite a few of those panels. Its also testament to the quality of the tooling that panels from other meteors fit other airframes.

Our Meteor as well as handmade panels has panels from at least 4 different jets going by the serial numbers.

It is Julien, considering how much of the production was done by hand. Keep up the good work on your Meatbox too!

    Hi all,

I fancy building my next 1/72 Canberra as the B(I)8 prototype VX185 wearing the rather dramatic glossy all-black scheme. Before I start (using the 2008-tool Airfix kit), are there any noticeable differences between VX185 and the production B(I)8s, or am I good to go straight out of the box?

Five things spring to mind, the two side windows are split horizontally, the Avon 109's are early mod with the blunt starter cartridge fairings, the main wheels are the early mod big wheel hub,  and she has the pre fuel vent mast side vent. Mk.1 seat with a  square bracket red firing handle. You can fit a gun pack which was just an aerodynamic mock up and pylons if you wish.
