  1. I've just taken a year to wrestle my mpm/italeri Wellington into submission, so I feel the pain
  2. if you join now you'll get the mig and sabre. best to wait till the new year if you want the 109.
  3. Nice - I'm glad I've just finished my matchbox Halifax - room in the stash for this now
  4. Hi, I bought an as186 and its great. I like it, its quiet enough and as you say has a tank. No complaints here - I've owned it a bout three years now and no problems with it at all. I started with a cheap airbrush from machine mart (about £30 if memory serves me correctly) but soon 'upgraded' and bought an Iwata on ebay. Hope that helps, just remember to enjoy what you are doing and not to worry about it too much...that way leads to madness
  5. they do indeed look good. Is there a UK supplier? If not do you have a link to the necessary site? edit....oops just noticed the other thread saying hannants
  6. Indeed, they are things of beauty. I will be adding to the growing, airfix filled stash! Thanks for the pics.
  7. It looks fine here on my monitor! I have two of these in the stash, one the dam buster version and this is making me want to edge them to the top of the pile good work!!
  8. might be worth waiting for the revell ju88 due out later in the year. They are saying it will "set new standards" linky to RoG
  9. Looking good! I've built a couple of these oob recently and they scrub up ok with a bit of patience ......and filler
  10. If there is I can't find them with google, but I don't speak German so that might be the sticking point.
  11. this one perchance? 1/72 ju88
  12. I had a problem with my delivery to sunny Cumbria. As airfix sent my hawks by home delivery network and I'm out at work all day, I missed it. I rang home delivery, and asked that they go to one of my neighbours (one who is out of action with a broken back) guess what - card through the door. So I had a three hour round trip from the south lakes to their depot in Blackburn to pick it up. If they had used royal mail it would have meant a ten minute walk to the post office to pick it up. I'm a bit cheesed off to be honest, I've emailed my concerns and got the automated "we can't be bothered" reply. I doubt I'll be ordering anything off the site in the future. At current fuel costs and my taking my time into consideration, it just isn't worth it. I'm also waiting for a flying hours kit and hoping that it comes through the usual mail, if it doesn't I'll probably just tell home deliverys to send it back to airfix.
