For my next model I had to build a VW golf Estate in 1/48 scale but decided not to do it with a kit, or buy the complete item. So I ventured out to do it. (first time doing something like this). It all starts with a picture. and then to get the body shapes and sizes. Hi Just joined your group and interested to connect with others that also do scratch build. I mainly focus on dioramas, although I did one ship (the SS Great Britain) also. Here and there I would build a kit, I love to use materials in and around the house and to make the parts rather than to buy or print them.
