  1. The majority of Hunter T7s were converted F4s, so had the full flap and could only carry the small tanks. Later new builds had cut away flaps. Best to check serials
  2. Hi, Dos nyone do 1/48th decals for tornado f3 of 111 squadron in the markings first applied wen they entered service? Thanks
  3. The markings in the original kit have the wrong colours for 603. They are two shades of blue checks outlined in black when the checks should be red/light blue with a black bar top and bottom. Cheers Sandy
  4. I have seen this quoted in three publications, however in the "Air Britain" BATTLE FILE, they say no. In the book "Bombers First And Last" a history of No 9 Sqdn. by Gordon Thorburn, he states that it was F/O Torkington-Leech of No 9 Sqdn who on the 4th Sept 1939 shot down the first enemy a/c of the war . A BF109.
  5. Hi all, Once again thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to help me out
  6. Hi everyone. thanks again for all your info, its the 85 one that I will build and I will wait and see if a2zee include 100 sqn decals in there TT18 conversio. Thanks once again.

  8. Hi, Can anyone tell me if WH904 was ever finished in the overall Light Aircraft Grey/Dayglow colour scheme. There are two photos in Canberra by Midland Counties, one in colour shows it in High Speed silver finish and the other pic is in black and white and to me it appears to be in the Aircraft Grey scheme. My intention was to do a 100 sqdn aircaraft i the aircraft grey scheme but I cant find anyone who does the sqdn fin badge. Any help we be most welcome.
  9. Hows about a Canberra T11/19 nose in 1/48th
  10. Can anyone tell me what colour the Cukoo clock doors on the air intake were? Looking at photos they are lighter in colour than the surrounding area.
  11. An article appeared in "Aircraft Illustrated" back in the 1970's on the development of Napalm, and if memory seves correctly, there were photographs of RAF Mustangs dropping them in trials. No 141 squadron were the first to use Napalm in April 1945 in anger. Hope this is of some help.
  12. My own choice will be AJ-A, as flown by Dinghy Young, as from research it seems that it was his weapon that breached the Mohne Dam with David Maltbys weapon widening the breach. Brave men all!
