  1. Cheers Dean, No doubt you are correct, I think I might make the canopys removable and make the effort, depending upon how stable I can get the thing in its landing/takeoff pose! Not even sure how to go about it yet. Hopefully I fear the undercarriage wont be strong enough by its self. Cheers for the post Tom
  2. Bazza, I had noticed that actually. Perhaps they are just midget pilots, weight saving is important after all! You just sparked my memory with the 'spares comment' I have 4 from a prowler I did ages and ages ago and they look a much better size and are much more defined which will hopefully help with the painting. I do have concerns about letting 'yanks' fly my TSR2 though!
  3. Thanks guys most Helpfull! and thanks for the welcome. I am trying to get some piccies up on here but must be having a bit of a thick day, do I have to have a website to host the pics? Iwas just expecting to upload them... life just aint that simple. Can anyone reccomend one, i tried google groups and Flickr but it doesnt seem to allow them. Thanks again Tom
  4. Hi Guys and Galls, First of all a well done to Airfix is in order I think, they have managed to drag me back into the modellong fold with the tsr2. I recently saw it in a model shop and well, who can resist that particular beauty.!?!? Its been quite a few years since I have made anything and am really looking forward to making a good job of this. I came across this site the other day and thought that the models you guys are making are pretty awesome and I am hoping to get somewhere near the quality I am seeing, I do have some problems though and i was hoping you could help me out. Firstly, I am planning to have the model either taking off or landing, I cant find many pics of this to try and get flap/stabiliser/landing gear positions correct. If anyone has any i would be most gratefull. Secondly, The pilots, I have always been absolutely rubbish at painting them. I would love to get some tips, i always used to have them pilotless but i dont feel that its right to be landing by its self. (the TSR2 was good but it wasnt quite a UAV) There are some other things that i will no doubt need help with also such as airbrushing (will have to get a kit first), and also creating a base but these things are quite a way off. Thanks, and well done for the awesome site! TOm
