  3. Hi folks Had a go at the water wheels/paddles at the weekend. Loads of liquid glue used. Does not look too bad,so far-i think:) Will be painting hull with copper paint. Foil finish looks great though. Thanks for looking Robert Think paddles look a bit squint looking from head on
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to make a detour now and build the paddles-get them out out of the way as i'm easily beaten

  11. Hi Kev I started this ages ago-should really finish it. Its no problem to build. Nice details-tiny plastic handles on tool boxes. Looks better than etch I think. Lovely guards on vision ports again very finely moulded plastic. I also added weld on bottom of turret join. All the best Robert
  12. Hi all Managed to get my hands on this. Beautiful olde Airfix kit with those wonderful written instructions. Great quality indeed. Dont know whether to build or not? Robert

  15. Lovely build love the look of soviet naval craft-would like to have another go at the Airfix Moskva. Had years ago, put plasticine in hull so it would float-then set fire to it........foolish child! what a waste

  19. Amazing looking model tracks look like they have come off real thing
  20. Thanks. Its ok-but a challenge for me (what isnt nowadays) The suspension is a work of art as it is functional- metal springs are provided so that suspension moves as the real thing would. I had problems with the mudguards/fenders? at the front of the Centurion as photo etched support on right side would not fit at all. Almost as if fender was warped. The grab handles for the engine deck were tricky to cut off the sprue and were not easy to clean up. Would like a grabhandler device for this job in future, but too dear I had to 'carve the mantlet on the turret to get the cover to fit-but not a problem. Its a nice big tank-bigger than i thought it would be and the mantle cover really sets it off.
