  1. Hi, I'm sure this question must have been raised before but, does anyone have, or know the whereabouts of, a decent set of drawings of a Shackleton AEW2 ? I've just won an MR3 kit courtesy of a well known on-line auction site for 6 quid and am looking to convert it to an AEW2 as a longer term project, (rivet sander at the ready !). I know about the Aeroclub conversion kit but I'm hoping to scratchbuild most of the conversion. Anyone got any main undergear parts to spare ? Best regards Roger
  2. Excellent. Nice to see an old workhorse actually at work. The heli' that is not you !! Spotted the blind in the first shot. Might be nice to try and include in the model Thanks yet again for all your help Tony, Regards RogB
  3. Great stuff, thanks again Tony. All I've got to do now is build it !! I'm looking to convert the Italeri HAS 3 to RN Rescue HAS1. Luckily most of the bits seem to be included in the kit. Needs a bit (lot) of mauling around the front air intake but hey, that's modelling ! I don't suppose anyone out there would have any seating for the main cabin in their 'bits box' Be grateful if they had. Regards to all Roger
  4. Aah, that would tie in with a rather fuzzy B&W shot I have of an HAS1 with what looks like a shallow rectangular recess just behind the wheels. I guess its depth would be the gap between the outer skin and the inner floor then ?
  5. Hi Tony, Yes, I have those drawings but was confused especially by the sonar gear housing. Am I right in saying that in the underside view the sonar gear is shown at the forward end of a rectangular hole ? And if so was the sonar gear removed from the Rescue version and the hole blanked over ? Regards Roger
  6. Hi Rio, That would be brilliant if it's not too much trouble. Would you have any details also of the internal seating arrangement and colour scheme of a RN Rescue HAS1 ? Thanks again for your help, Best regards Roger
  7. Hi Richard, Not sure if its of any help, (and probably I'm the last to find it !!), but there is a web site dedicated to US cockpit photos. There are a number of Phantom variants in there, might be worth a look. The link to the site is :- http://uscockpits.com/ Best regards Roger aka rogb999
  8. Hi, Further to my recent post as to the colour scheme of RN Rescue Wessex HAS 1 ' s, could anyone point me in the right direction of a decent photo of the underside of one. All my references seem to be either side or top shots. Need to know where all the fuel ducting and electronics went. Also, am I right in saying that I've seen a shot somewhere of a Culdrose Rescue HAS 1 with the 'flotation bag' wheel hubs ? Regards Roger
  9. Love the model. 1st class. One of my favourite aircraft of all time. Out of interest what do you get (other than the radome) in the Aeroclub conversion set ? Priced it up recently and it cost nearly as much as the Revell kit. Seeing your photo I'm sorely tempted now !! Easter present maybe ?? Regards RogB
  10. Wow, that was quick ! Thanks rod mcq for the info'. Would that be the same red as used on the grey/red sea kings also ? Thanks Obi-Jiff Kenobi for the info' re Hannants. Looks like I'll be needing paint also, so the minimum order shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again for your help Best regards RogB
  11. Hi, Could anyone tell me the exact colours for a Royal Navy Rescue Wessex please ? Whilst I'm, on I don't suppose anyone would have a spare Modeldecal sheet MD 099 in their stash which they are willing to pass on ? Tried Hannants who have it for £3.71 but they have a minimum order of £8.00. Look forward to hearing from you, Best regards RogB
