  1. Well done there, I feel your pain over this build having done a few Amodel kits myself. Like it very much. Sammy
  2. Very nice model there. Unusual scheme yes very good indeed. sammy
  3. Totally agree there. I spent vast amount of my time reducing Or ensuring that all countersunk rivets where to say a maximum of a piece of paper proud of the skin (.005”)This was followed by the painters rubbing down the surface, applying alacrome and then painting the surface. Which ends up at somewhere at about .010” thick. Sorry but you would find it difficult to see many a rivet line on newly painted aircraft. Sammy
  4. Very nice model Pete. Good to see you on here at last. sammy the fish
  5. That will look superb and better than I can do. ex chief RAF Sammy
  6. It looks real are you sure it’s not just a picture! sammy
  7. Nice weathering there a bit heavy for me, but very feasible. Fuel caps those black oily deposits from the fuel caps! I have cleaned many local or small areas on Puma’s and Chinook with fuel soaked rag. This would Often leave if not careful a whitish stain on the surface? Nice model though. sammy da fish
  8. Bloody lovely. Like it a lot just the right look. Sammy
  9. I to am impressed with your superb model. I have this scheme to do as well but a different a/c. Mine will be the one on the front RAF yearly magazine from 1967. Which inspired me join the Air Force and serve 34 years. Lovely model again. Sammy

  12. Very nice Tim, I suppose that will be in our next virtual competeion! simon
  13. Very impressive modelling and it only took you two weeks, that would be at least three times that for me. Well done there. sammy
  14. I have same thing but can you point me in right direction please to reset this? sammy
  15. I like it a lot, this is the scheme I wish to do my Tamiya spit in. Thanks for showing us your model. sammy
  16. Yes she very nice indeed. I like it a lot. You captured the look of such an iconic aircraft. Even the lack of much flattening of the tyres which at 380 PSI would not allow much deflection. Well done. Sammy
  17. Loadpole is mainly black in colour, emergency pull handle is black/ yellow strips. The hook mechanism( bottom part is metallic greeny /grey. The hook itself is metal colour. Loadpole bay a dirty light brown or chromate colour. sammy
  18. Thanks for showing build of this late resting aircraft. I to have the anigrand kit to build in the future, so it will require a lot of work oh dear may be time to sell. sammy
  19. Just remember that the picture of trembelers or XW222 is taken as fitted out as a Mk2. There is no bubble window that was removed back in about 1990, when all of the RWR fit was put on and the back hatch had both the chaff and the IRJ fitted. I can remember the first time flying her back in.1979. Sammy the fish ex 33 & 230, 240OCU
  20. Very nice indeed I like the worn and in service look. Sammy
  21. I spent a great deal of my time in RAF reducing down or making sure said countersunk rivets were no more proud of the skin than say a thickness of a piece of paper. So should not be able to see many of the countersunk variety in 72scale. However there are many types of fastenings that you will see on the surface of an aircraft. Such as Dzus, mushroom, domed rivets and jobolts. Oh such fun we used to have. sammy
  22. Yes very nice indeed, wish I could pick one of these up. I bet the price would astronomical.
