    There is some major shape issues with the nose and I think wing roots, modelkit have issued an update set of moulds which you can purchase on their web site. Mine took about three/ four months to get here. Sammy

    I know how much effort you put in to this one as mine is about 80% done but don’t have the mojo to get it finished off. Well done there,if anybody finishes this model I think that they need a medal. sammy

    Lovely work there, I have the same model needing to be finished off as well. This thread might just get me moving. One observation though the aerials on the fin are for very late schemes I think. Sammy

    OK forward jacking point is just behind the nose U/C bay. To jack a Puma up there will be four Items required-3 cups/ 1ball and obviously three jacks. A plum bob which hangs in the stbd doorway and there is a plate on the cabin floor( this is under the wooden floorboard) To line up the plumb bob both in longitude And laterally. Sammy

    Looking good there almost as I remember them from twenty years on the things. The gearbox that you talk about in real terms is just known as the”IGB”. The grill in front of the IGB is there for two reasons, one you can see the tail shaft is in good condition. It’s something like 20SWG Thick and rotates at a constant 3800 rpm and provides a secondary and lesser function of cooling to the IGB. The IGB changes the direction by I think By 35degrees and increases the speed of the rear shaft to 4400 rpm.
