  1. Hello, a question for RAF colours experts: Where (what planes) and when was Deep Sky used? I only found a note it was on early Fortresses II.. Thanks a lot for help in advance.
  2. well, not really, only Czech Whait If SIG syndrome http://www.whatif.cz/
  3. well, just one piece of an alternative history... australian war for independence 1945-47 (right after WWII)..fought against british crown forces
  4. AZ Spit IXc is almost as good as Sword IXe, so I guess the first question would be what type of Spit "nine" would you like to build (IXc or IXe)?
  5. well, time to buy one and build an Australian-built machine from War for Independece
  6. Hello Graham, may I ask you to put here some pics of the sprues please? thank you very much in advance! Olda
  7. well, getlmen, sorry to say, but now airfix is completely outclassed! http://www.modelarovo.cz/spitfire-mk-ixc-1...w-toolnew-tech/
  8. Chuck, as I said before, I base my comparison on superb book "Spitfire IX-XVI engineered".In that book there are dimensions based on 3D scanning and measurement of real Spits, so IMHO it is the most accurate. Olda
  9. Any news about Spit 22? Wonderland Models metioned 18 of June as release date... Anyone seen some pics of sprues already?
  10. Well, I would not say too long - whole fuselage is longer about 1mm - the fuselage fuel tank cover(cowling) is about 0,5 mm longer and the engine cowling is for anohter 0,5 mm longer... but, still it is reasonable accuracy, isn´t it?
  11. Speaking of accuracy I would personally vote for either Sword Mk.IXe or AZ IXc (or VIII/VII if you wish, because mark nine have not been released yet). I compare those with dimensions mentioned in "Spitfire IX-XVI engieered" famous book and those two kits match them in almost every detail. Airfix kit suffer, apart other thingies, from longer fuselage..
  12. Hello all, does anyone has some informations about wing downward indetification lamp used on Spits VIII (or maybe on Mk.VII as well)? I mean this - see pics on the bottom of this page http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=5...ya&start=75 What I´ve found so far, this was entered when the production of Mark VIII (VII) begins, but was soon cancelled by modification No. 746 issued on 1 May 1943. see this link: http://spitfiresite.com/2010/04/concise-gu...ng-types.html/2 But, I´ve seed this lamps even on Spits clearly produced after that date, for example MT841, produced on Dec.12th 1944. Could anyone help me to clarify this please?
