    I could do another thread building a P-51C & a P-51D from Hobby Boss, but I wanted to do something different. This is one of the Hobby Boss 1:350 submarine range, USS Los Angeles Class SSN-688. You can see that you can make 1 of 3 different boats of this class, but it gets better. You can actually make a full hull boat and a waterline boat from this one kit and that's what I hope to do. Here is a shot of my other submarines from this range.

    This is looking good mate and admire the fact that you are prepared to do all this work. With me I am happy to make older Airfix stuff, so long as all that is required is a bit more sanding and filling. There is a great sense of achievement when you add it to the shelf. Otherwise, needing an end result sooner than most due to lack of patience, I just make newer kits, including Airfix of course.

    I think I cheated when I made this kit. If I remember correctly,I didn't put the tracks all the way around so that it would sit properly. The track guard running along the top hid the fact the track wasn't there.
