  4. Thanks mate. Here is some progress and the finish. Decals applied.... Finished with panel wash, weathering and matt varnish applied..... with these... Unfortunately, I think I over did it. The applicator is not as fine as it was when I first started to use these 'pastels'. The red part of the hull (being straight primer) seem to suck up the Klear resulting in this section having a semi-matt finish. This is not good for the panel wash that was applied before the pastels and resulted in the panel wash being very stubborn on the red areas wiping off only slightly. The pastels did a similar thing and to top it all the matt varnish highlights the effect. You can also make out from the last shot that the decals seem a little creased? This happened when I applied Decal Fix to the area where the deals were going. The liquid seemed to dry to a tacky residue and the decals refused to slide into position. Lots of water was added to the area to wash off the Decal Fix and give a wetter surface for the decals to slide over, but sections of them just would not budge. School boy errors that must not be repeated.
  5. Thanks for the scale pictures mate. This is looking very good sir.
  6. Sorry I haven't been around for a while guys as the mojo has taken a nose dive and other stuff has got in the way. Anyway, this GB is so good that it's the one I am 'clinging' on to so to speak. I need to catch up with all the threads and great builds, but this is what my build looks like at present. Next will be the Klear and decals. Cheers
  7. I'm liking the tank a lot mate and I'm looking forward to seeing this on the base sir.
  8. Okay, I now realize there aren't enough decals to do both boats!
  9. A small update. The upper hull of the waterline build I am doing needed to be lowered further. Using a pin vice with a sowing needle a line was scribed around the hull and then cut. Then the rear fin was scratch built (I needed the kit one to go on the full hull version). Thanks for looking
