Jay, I built one of these this year for my dad and have another to do for myself.
I made a mistake with the fuselage decals. The grey/white split of the camo shows through the decal. You may be already aware, but I was told afterward that perhaps putting white paint at those locations where the decals are to be placed would have helped.
I tried to post a picture but can't get it to work.
Looking forward to seeing this finished.

Time is running out, but progress has been made (just as well really).

I am really tempted to get one of these kits.
I didn't know anything about the aircraft until it appeard in recent model magazines.

Just had a look through your thread Folkbox.
I have to say that the build really looks the business. Well done mate.

As others have said, I think I need to pop into my local shop to see if they have one of these. Just to get rid of some disposable income you understand.

Thanks everyone.
Really appreciate the positive feedback.

Thanks guys.
Would I be correct in thinking the interior colour of both the cab and the cargo area would
be plain dunkelgelb ?
Cheers

Just finished this build.
It was great just to make up a kit for the fun of it.
Although 30 years old, the decals went on with no problems. I just had to use the stand.

Thansk for looking.

Trying to juggle all the GB builds I am doing at the moment.

Managed to make some progress on this last night.

I decided that I wouldn't put the canvas cover on as I preferred the 'box' version.
Cheers

I thought it was about time I started the thread for this build.
When I chose this particular kit, I believed I had bought the Finnish Air Force version. I hadn't. It was the Italian, Polish and Hungarian kit I had.

So, I bought the Inscale decal sheet to make up a Finnish aircraft. Here are photos of the kit (minus the resin bits, i know I have them somewhere) and new decal sheet.

I need to try to pin down what aircraft numbers Mk.I's carried.
Cheers

I need help on two things.
What colour should the Buccaneer be? Someone at the local model shop said Gulf Desert Pink. Airfix say Sand?
Also, the airbrake at the rear is covered in rivets. Should I sand these off, leaving a smooth surface? I was at the FAA Museaum last week, and I forgot to look.

Cheers

Hell, these GB's are coming thick and fast.

Count me in I'll be making up the Matchbox Chinook, painted.

I like that a lot Gary.

Jabba, I was browsing through the Gulf War threads and found yours.
Beautiful looking build mate, well done.

Fantastic Magpie.

I'm trying to build a 1:72 SE.5 so your thread will be a great help.
It will help to see how you tackle the rigging.

I blinked and missed this one.
Beautifully built and finished mate. Well done.

Well done so far Andy.

Looking good Jon.
I don't do a lot of detailing/scratchbuilding myself and seeing others doing so gives me
enthusiasm to 'have a go'.

Thanks Shaun.

I may be over commiting myself to GB's but I'll give this one a go with Revells 1:72 Arado Ar 210 Nightfighter.

That looks so good Magpie.
I use the same method for attaching the rigging to a model, but I always end up with lighter coloured paint work
where I drilled the holes. It will be interesteing to see what you do the blend the paint required.
