  1. Thanks very much guys. I really appreciate the positive feedback. Deacon
  2. OMG! That looks absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to the next update Pete. Deacon
  3. Wow! This is going to look stunning! I'll be watching this with great interest. Deacon
  4. Nice paint job on this mate. No silvering on the decals either. Well done. Deacon
  5. I built this as part of a Trainer GB, although I am not sure whether the colour is right for WW1 trainers. This kit represents the 504K at RAF Hendon. Any way, here it is, I hope you like it. Cheers Deacon
  6. A work of art! A stunning build mate. Deacon
  7. I know that everyone has pretty much said it all, but that is a stunning build mate. Superb. Deacon
  8. Looking foward to the next update on this one mate. I made a 1:72 Airfix Dornier 17E, which was fun, but never again. Deacon
  9. Catching up on some threads as I have been out of the loop for a while. This is a cracking looking double build Enzio and I am really looking forward to the next update. Well done sir. Deacon
  10. This is a great build thread Andrew. Comparing the two manufacturers kits is a great way of showing the shortcomings of their products and helps others when they are trying decide which kits to buy. I haven't got the Tamiya 109, I do have Revell, ICM, Hasegawa and Airfix though. i think I need to gat a Tamiya one, soon. I will be watching the rest of this thread with interest. Deacon
  11. Just wanted to say thanks to the GB hosts/mods for running this one. It was good fun entering the WW1 and Gulf War GB's. Thanks again folks. Deacon
  12. Blimp, an absolutely stunning build. I was watching the updates with great interest and only just realised you managed to finish it. Well done mate on pruducing a work of art that was inspirational to watch. Deacon
  13. A brilliant GB which re-awakend the desire to build WW1 aircraft and got my mo-jo back. Thanks very much guys and well done. Deacon
  14. Airfix 1:72 Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S.2B The aircraft represented here is XX895 RAF Lossiemouth Gulf Detachment, Operation "Granby", Muhrraq, Bahrain, 1991.
  15. Well, it was a bit of a sprint to the finish as I had to get it done by close of play today. Anyway, here it is, Buccaneer S.2b XX895. Comments & Criticism welcome. Deacon
  16. This kit represents N1985, 'R' of 806 Sqn, detached from HMS Illustrious to Heraklion, Crete, February 1941. Well, that's what Airfix say. This kit was a surprise as the panel lining is recessed when I was expecting raised lines and rivet detail. Cheers Deacon
  17. Revell 1:72 Sopwith Triplane. N5493 "BLYMP" No.8 Squadron RNAS, St-Eloi, France July 1917.
  18. Well, recessing the panel lines was a disaster and I had lines going off all over the place. So, I went out and bought another just so I could at least complete a Buccaneer for my shelf (and this GB of course). I also managed to get a resin replacement for the tail fins. I am not happy with the results so far. I couldn't get hold of a replacemnt set of undercarriage, so it will be finished 'flying' using one of the Italeri bases. Anyway, here is where it is at so far. Thanks for looking. Deacon
  19. You must have me confused with someone else. The rigging looks cracking and is the icing on the cake mate. Deacon
  20. Noooooooooooooo. It was going so well. It would be a great pity not to have this build in the finished gallery mate, especially after all your hard work. Deacon
  21. Talk about perseverance. You deserve a medal for this one mate. Deacon
