  1. What a cracking looking kit. Very tidy work as well Smuts. Deacon
  2. Just a quick update. I hope to get the Halfords Grey undercoat on tonight. Just need to switch the heater on in the garage to warm it up a bit. Cheers Deacon
  3. All that hard work (which I wouldn't have attempted) has paid off Andrew. Fantastic builds mate, well done. Deacon
  4. Gosh guys, , thanks very much for the compliments. Well done rowmk9 and Muller, it is a 109G in the last picture and rowmk9 got it spot on as a G2. However, it's not a Finemolds but a Hobby Boss, which cost less than £5.00! Really appreciate the kind comments, thanks again. Deacon
  5. Thanks both, it was an enjoyable kit to build. Deacon
  6. I actually read the wrong discription for this aircraft. , I should have said it was a 56 Squadron Aircraft from June 1940 based at North Weald. Deacon
  7. I know I am down to do the Hawker Hector, but my fingers are getting twitchy to make one of these. This is Airfix's 1:72 kit and will be finished in the markings of 85 Squadron flown by F/O A.G. Lewis (using Xtradecals sheet X72-117). This aircraft was based at Mattlesham Heath, 25th July 1940. Cheers Deacon
  8. Here are a coupld of day light photos Carlos, I hope you like them. Thanks everyone for your encouragement by the way. Deacon
  9. Here is the finished item. The last photo is of my small collection of Bf109's. I have another 9 kits to do of this warbird. Thanks for the encouragement over this build. Deacon
  10. Nearly finished............. Need to add Swastikas, panel wash, stains and paint the canopy. The 'tint' worked out OK to tone down the splotches, in places. I just added light blue to 'Klear'. Cheers Deacon
  11. Sorry you couldn't get the CR.42 finished in time, I was looking foward to it being built. Still look at the bright side, less rigging on a 109! Deacon
  12. Thanks Mish. I've ordered the Techmod decals so hopefully they will arrive soon. A quick update. I thought I would play at creating brake lines..... and here is the paint job before I had a go at the mottling.......... Here is the mottling and I would like your advice please people. Is this too stark? Should I try to 'filter' the splotches with the light blue? Cheers Deacon
  13. Excellent choice Erwin. I was looking to make a RAF Gladiator based in Norway, but I need to do some research first. Deacon
  14. This is one of the great things about early war. There's still stuff that I haven't heard of before and so kits I wasn't aware of. Great choice, I've never heard of a........whatever it is and I am certainly looking forward to the day you start modelling. Good luck with this and the house move Will. Deacon
  15. This looks like an interesting build. Deacon
  16. Nice clean lines mate and the fit of the wings is top notch. Deacon
  17. If my maths are right, that's 8 kits you are proposing for this GB! You must like this period of WW2 a lot. Good luck with them all mate. Deacon.
  18. Nice choice, I hadn't even heard of this aircraft, let alone knew there was a kit of one! Deacon.
  19. I'll be joining in too as I have a Dragonfly and a Bronco to finish. Deacon
  20. Just a quick update. A couple of shots showing the interior (forgot to take one of the fuselage walls though). The final shot shows how far along the build has got, but perhaps I should have turned the flash off. Thanks for looking. Deacon
