  13. Okay some progress made on the build a little bright perhaps but with a coat of Klear and final coat of satin varnish things should tone down.

  17. Thanks guys. Here she is after half an hour......(OK, plus 15 minutes cleaning up the joints) Now I'm going to get a little sad on you. When this kit was released in 1976 I was 10 years old. I only wanted kits that had guns or bombs (preferably both). So this is the first time I have built this kit. Not for the first time with Matchbox, I found something extra in the box. Only those who built these kits as kids can find it now they have grown up (okay, perhaps 'aged' would be a better term). I found I was having 'fun'! I was doing the sub assemblies and I thought stuff it, I'm going to make it. I didn't paint the interior first I just put it together. Looking at the fit of the kit, the tiny sprue gates and the wonderful two colour plastic just make me appreciate that Matchbox (perhaps not all of their kits) had got something so right way back then. I would like to see Revell release Matchbox kits just as they were, perhaps calling them 'Matchbox Memories' so that old fossils like me can sit on a carpet and build a model without a care in the world. And then run around the room making airplane noises getting concerned looks from the kids and wife.
  18. Wow you really are moving with this. A great idea with the base as although I added weight to the front of mine, it still tail sits!
