  1. Thanks and great info. As usual what I thought would be straightforward (as I thought Tamiya had done their homework) isn't so straightforward. I should've checked first. I was going to do the second aircraft but because I couldn't find any phpto's of the right side of the aircraft I wasn't sure how to do the stripes/camouflage etc (hence me doing Tamiya's version). I'm wondering whether to scrap this scheme now and do another one. Another simple more documented scheme though that doesn't require an airbrush and a scheme that has the white Hakenkreuz.
  2. You're welcome and I must have a nose around there too. It was almost called the Dougal Z Cargomaster after a mix of Dougals black protruberence and Zeberdy's conc.
  3. I'm building Tamiya's 1/48 kit and doing Rudolf Sinners aircraft but I can't find many black and white original photo's to check if Tamiya got the scheme correct apart from these few photo's ........... https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/airfixtributeforum/tamiya-1-48-messerschmitt-me-262a-1a-61087-t28402.html https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/348364-new-modifications-me-262-a-1-with-rockets-21-cm-wgr-21/ I especially want to find photio's of Sinners first Green 1 aircraft (the one in Tamiyas instructions) to see if they've got the tail markings correct. I can only find the above photo's which don't show the tail area like this one..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/themixmonkey/Models/1303670335_rr_262.jpg The one with the white swastika is Sinners later aircraft (the non Tamiya scheme) where the dark green stripes point backwards. https://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Me-262/JG7/pages/Messerschmitt-Me-262A1a-Stab-III.JG7-((+I-Blue-1-Rudolf-Sinner-Parchim-Mar-1945-01.html
  4. Here's where it's designers got their inspiratiopn........ https://firebreathingdimetrodon.wordpress.com/tag/the-magic-roundabout/
  5. Does it look like they could dp those versions with the parts layout?
  6. I hope they do the Libyan camouflage version too.
  7. I know this is an older thread but where did you see the moulds were made from hardened resin? The parts look like they were taken from metal moulds to me.
  8. I must have got the wrong end of the stick but I was expecting an all plastic kit.
  9. Will the cockpit canopy and fuselage windows be in clear plastic?
  10. is the fuselage and wings plastic or fibreglass? It looks fibreglass in that phpto to me.
  11. How big will it be in 1/350th? I know it's a big aircraft but I should imagine it will still be small in that scale.
  12. I've tried to find more info on it but can't find anything.
  13. To be honest I'm not sure. I found it in one of my boxes and it was also used so it might have been even finer because of that. It's very smooth though.
  14. You're not wrong there. Even that Formula 3000 is a boring fairly modern one. They looked much better in the 70s (along with F1 cars)
  15. Ok I used very, very fine sandpaper inside the canopy and I could see the white frosted look coming off then I finished it with toothpaste.........and it's worked. The cloudiness has gone and it now looks pretty much as it was before the white spirit accident. It has a very, very slight less shiny look at the moment but you can hardly notice that and I reckon I can polish it up more.....so great result. Thanks all for the suggestions!
  16. At last. Great looking plane. Hope they do the cab windows in clear plastic though.
  17. To be honest I'm surprised anyone would think it has any new parts. Revell rarely do that.
  18. Thanks all. I haven't had much time over the past week or so but I'll give it a try later starting with some very fine sandpaper I picked up.
  19. Thanks I'm not a fan of vacform canopies to be honest but I'll see what happens.
