    I keep forgetting they have done a new tool Vampire (the T11) in 1/72 but didn;t know they were hinting at a 1/48th kit. I should have been more specific. I'm surprised they haven't done a new tool FB5 etc.

    Totally agree. The HK kit will probably be very good and it's not even out yet. Would have much preferred a Halifax Mk1 but obviously the Lanc's a more famous aircraft.

    Yes shame they can't update that. It's a nice kit otherwise. It wouldn't be so bad if they just added a new sprue with some accurate shaped propellors and some larger wheels.

    Seeing as I didn't get any response in the thread I started I'll put my question here................. I'm finishing off this BOF aircraft (D) and I want to check the correct colour of the top of the dashboard. I can't seem to find any decent reference.

    That's true but for some reason I always think there's something not quite right about doing that. Silly I know but I can't really put it into words what I mean.

    Cool. I'd like to do that in a camouflage scheme but obviously no such scheme exists for the 225.

    I'd like to see a 1/32 kit too but I'm not surprised they're doing a new 1/48 kit though. It's a sure money spinner for them seeing as Airfix would have stolen sales off the old Tamiya kit.

    Some of their newer tank kits have clear lights etc but they can be hit or miss as some don't. Unlike manufacturers like Dragon or Meng who seem to do a lot more clear parts including lights and periscopes. I think it makes a big difference to the look of a finished model.

    I've been trying to find the new Airfix Mk1 on Ebay without much luck and was considering buying the Tamiya kit instead. Maybe it's lucky I didn't find one if this is an all new kit as I'd imagine it will be better than the Airfix one.
