  1. Nice build Mish, cleanly finished, however, I do agree with Habu12. The IAF colours are Sky, Buff & Vietnam Tan for the upper surfaces. I only know this as I am currently battling with a F-16D Barak in 32nd Scale and had the same issues with paints. There are a good few references on the Isradecals website which show these colours.

Anyway I don't want that comment to be detrimental in any way, shape or form, it was just to point out for info for you in the future.

  2. Looking good Charlie.

This model is a right tail sitter so pack as much weight in the nose as you can. The reason I ask about the decals was that (if it was ok by you), could I have the Alconbury Decals from the kit please? If possible, could I drop you a PM to discuss?

  3. Antony,

I will ask Geoff later today and PM you with a reply. In all seriousness, all of the kits are really reviewed well, there are loads of pictures and reviews on the site. It is also updated at least once a week (if not twice) with new reviews on aircraft, armour and boats. Also the site offers a techniques doctor so if you wanted advice there are at least 10 people on the team that are willing to help you.

  4. viper,

I can post 3 - 4 shots on here tonight when i get in, as sig has said it is a review model so i cant go too overboard. Ness, the model does go together well, the review details areas and has a lot of photos of the build including shots of the main filling area.... All i can say is watch out for the sink marks on the kit, fill them in as the grey really shows them well!

  5. Hi,

I have mentioned on here in the past that I am part of the review group for Scale Modelling Now (www.scalemodellingnow.com). Whilst I am not on here to promote the site, I was asked for my first review to review the above mentioned plane; the 1/32nd Scale Revell Eurofighter. The model also includes an Isracast Litening Pod, 1/32 GBU-10's (Tamiya) and Two Bobs Decals, also weathered to give it an "operational" feel. A full 3,700 word review, 37 photos can be found on the website, but for your pleasure, I thought I would show this to you. I can get a few more photos on here for you if you wish to see.

What is next? A 1/32nd scale F-16CJ (Tamiya) with 1/32 Isracast F-16D "Barak" conversion complete with conformal tanks!

  6. guys,

Thanks for the comments, what is next? I have a couple of projects I want to do. First one is a project forScale Modelling Now, a large 32nd model with a huge resin conversion (keep you guessing on that!) and second is a long term project. I am aiming to build the tamiya 1\32 F-14A, convert it to a B model, with the Teknics cockpit, new aires burner cans too. I also want to build this in take off config, flaps and slats down, all scratchbuilt, hopefully on a base board.

  7. Hi,

Finished this one today, It is the standard F-15E Strike Eagle from Revell which I have built for a friend of mine. As he requested, it has been finished in 48 FW Colours and complete with the excellent GBU-10 from Flightpath - I true piece of engineering, these are highly recommended if you have the patience to mess about with PE and resin! I have left the finish quite clean and this time not bothered to weather the plane as all the F-15E's I have seen have been relatively clean - I also added a couple of AIm-120's from the spares box to the outer wing pylons.

  8. Gents,

Thank you for the comments on the Canberra.

    Ashley,

Thank you for the comment. Look forward to meeting you at some point, are you based down in Odiham? bit of a long way to come for the monthly meet ups?

Lovely stuff James, just spotted it as I was searching for Canberra's.

really nice to see one made up in the disbandment scheme as I have a big soft spot for this baby as I designed the Tail Art/disbandment scheme for her back in 06 when I was at Marham.

I'm part of Geoff's Scale Modelling Now so know doubt we'll meet at some point.

    Ashley
