  1. She's looking lovely Reconciler , tempting me to have a go at a Macchi floatplane, fairly simple shape, but easy to get wrong.
  2. Just got a 1/48 Hasegawa 109K-4 and an F-2 from eBay, hoping to do the K later in the GB.
  3. I don't get why people are having to write HTML codes etc, whatever happened to copy and paste. I use Photobucket too, no problem on desktop or mobile, just copy the 'img' link and paste the pic onto your thread.
  4. I think NN664 like most prototype /development airframes went through several different incarnations in it's time. Best thing is to find a photo of what it is you're looking for and go with that, off the top of my head I'm sure it had both tail sections during its development. Good luck with the build.
  5. Nice start Orso, interesting project. Got one of these kits myself, planning on trying to make the float plane version.
  6. Thanks guys, need to practise the unusual mottling, probably try a piece of sponge out first to get that tight effect. Made one of these Airfix 109's in the last GB, an E-1, found the plastic quite soft but looks good when built.
  7. Hi there Doc, Welcome to Britmodeller.
  8. Hi Colin, welcome to Britmodeller, always good to see another Kiwi on here.
  9. Looking forward to seeing you build this Joss, these Eduard kits are great value for the detail you get aren't they.
  10. Hi all, Kicking off with an Airfix 1/48 109E-4, as flown my Helmut Wick in October 1940. Transfers are by Tech mod. Always liked this scheme so it's nice to finally get round to building it. Looking forward to getting started on the 6th.
  11. Looking good Sean, the seam on those inserts don't look bad at all. Heard some horror stories about them , got this kit to do so watching with interest.
  12. Hi Randy, Welcome to Britmodeller.
  13. Welcome Matteo from Italy. Your English is pretty good, certainly better than my Italian. 1/48 is a good scale isn't it, good compromise between size and detail. Look forward to seeing you around the forums. Ciao!
  14. We bought some Raspberries from Waitrose the other day and they had some corrugated material in the bottom of the container, might be worth a look.
  15. 'Better to burn out than fade away'. Was down at Winchester Science Centre last week and the scientific community is getting quite excited about Enceladus, they've certainly got a lot of information from Cassini
  16. Hi there Dave, welcome to Britmodeller, good to have you onboard. Those Alligators are pretty quick over a short distance aren't they! Not that I've seen one in the flesh, but I've certainly got a healthy respect for anything that can eat me. Look forward to seeing you around the forums.
  17. The existing Airfix kit can be made into a very nice model with a little TLC, I'd imagine it's a fair way down their wish list. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m74/DougRogers/041.jpg
  18. Are we there yet?...just kidding. Might do a quick 1/48 Hobbycraft 109C just to fill the time.
  19. Hi there Loren, welcome to Britmodeller. Absolutely know what you mean about 1/48, it's the 'Goldilocks' scale for me.

  21. Hi there, welcome to Britmodeller. There's an 'Interwar' discussion section under aircraft modelling which may interest you, big fan of the Schneider Trophy planes myself.
  22. Hi there Scott, welcome to Britmodeller.
  23. Hi there Pieter, Welcome to Britmodeller, always good to see a 'youngster' joining.
