  1. I always preferred Wizzard https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=wizzard+i+wish+it+could+be+christmas&mid=CA8EC88C202C089C9F26CA8EC88C202C089C9F26&FORM=VIRE
  2. I was trying to get one of the pilots into the Revell Starfighter but he's too tall and the canopy won't fit with him in the seat
  3. Not in that timescale - it's only just been released, so expect to wait 2 years before any changes.
  4. I've put a bit more paint on the camel and rhino
  5. That's a good idea @Vince1159, but the other one is painted the same. Perhaps I should get another Meanwhile, painting continues on the animals. And the Zookeepers, of course.
  6. Exactly! Model manufacturers are traditionally described as the Toy Trade (or were when I was involved). Secrecy is paramount. My work contract did not allow photography inside the factory. Does anyone wonder why Airfix play their cards so close to their chest? So as not to give the opposition any inkling of what they're working on. They (and that means every manufacturer) want their product to be the dominant one in the market. Sharing information would dilute that. It ain't gonna happen.
  7. That's hush-hush, need to know basis
  8. When looking for a box the stow the spare US Pilots & Groundcrew just completed, I rediscovered these. i took it as an omen to paint them up. Zoo sets 1 & 2
  9. Cheers @stevej60 I may add a boarding latter, tractor and tow bar in due course
  10. Here's a small vignette I threw together from recent builds, made up with the Academy SR.71A, Airfix Astronauts, AIM starter cart, and Hasegawa US Pilots & Groundcrew. Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy the scene.
  11. Well you might get his name right. Luke Slaney-Hewitt.
  12. Such a shame that Tamiya hardly make anything that interests me. I build subjects I like and regardless of however good Tamiya are supposed to be, I don't build things that fall outside my sphere of interest. The only Tamiya kit I've done in the last few years was their P-51, alongside the Airfix kit - they were comparable in all ways to me. Airfix's new tools this year (Sea King & Gannet) have been a step up.
  13. Two sets here, one OOB... The other with arms swapped.
  14. I put the finishing touches to these, this morning. They will be appearing in various dioramas/vignettes soon.
  15. As this is the 2024 Wishlist thread, all the mentions imply it is expected (or wished for) next year. I agree, it will happen, but (judging by Airfix's Marketing Strategy) we'll be waiting a year or two.
  16. Be realistic guys. The current kit was only issued in August. They won't be issuing any variant in 24 and maybe not even in 25 - Ok maybe late 25.
  17. a) New Tool 1/72 Junkers Ju88 A-1 b) Up or down scale of an existing kit 1/72 Supermarine Walrus c) Vintage Classic 1/600 Scharnhorst d) Surprise release mid year 1/48 Westland Wasp
  18. The figures were brush painted then given a Sepia Wash in preparation for the final Matt coat. Detail painting of the trucks was by hand. They were brushed with Humbrol Clear as a foundation for the decals. I used Microset with the decals. The vehicles will be glossed.
  19. I'm currently working on these two sets.
