  1. Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-4/U8 W Nr 7155 landed in error at West Malling on 17th April 1943. It was given the RAF serial number PE882. After making 96 flights at RAE Farnborough, PE882 was transferred to No 1426 (Enemy Aircraft) Flight, the ‘Circus’ that demonstrated Luftwaffe aircraft at British and USAAF bases. PE882 crashed near the Flight’s base at Collyweston on 13th October 1944.

  6. I always have trouble with link & length tracks :shithappens: but that's just me
  7. I found it a nice kit, not too dissimilar from the Tamiya 1/35 one in parts breakdown I have four more in the stash
  8. Revell's 1/72 Cromwell Mk IV 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry, summer 1944
  9. Thanks Richard. I've been gleaning information from a gentleman who commanded one of these from D-Day to Berlin, and have tried to incorporate the details he's recalled
  10. I'm currently working on a couple of Revell 1/72 Cromwells, marked up as the 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry and a couple of b/w for atmosphere Still a bit more to do before they're finished
  11. I tend not to trust kit callouts, which are skewed towards their chosen brand of paints :shithappens: I'd go along these lines (in the absence of anything else) RLM 74 Graugrün Top camouflage on fighter aircraft from 1941. 13. Just the E-Type... I'm not greedy
  14. I'd bet the cellulose thinners are too hot for the primer
  15. Mods I've not yet found a picture of one I want to build The sprues contain the ETC500 bomb rack for four SC50 Grade I or II general purpose bombs, underwing pods for the four 20mm cannon or addidtional racks for another four SC50's. The ventral load could be changed to one SC500 Grade III GP bomb and it has both the A-8 and blown canopies
  16. Its the old Airfix 1/72 - the port fuselage is stamped 1977
  17. Thanks for the additional info, this is my first voyage into the sub-variants of the Butcherbird :shithappens:
  18. I have an A-8/F-8 boxing that I'd like to do as a Nightfighter. I think (sweeping generalisation here) that A-8's were ground attack a/c and that F-8's were basically the same except they had blown hoods and had the wing guns removed. The exception being the F-8/R-13 which was a designated Nightfighter. Now I'm looking for units that flew these and their markings. Any help gratefully accepted
