Yes, some modellers forget that these were toys we built ourselves to play with, to fight those battles that our parents and grandparents told us about. Working features were essential.

Those extra crew figures are nice
I couldn't assemble the fuselage without painting the interior first

I'm undecided about how to finish the Grenadiers. These are in summer dress, painting is complete, but no wash yet. I could just spray with Matt varnish, or I might add grass scatter to their bases.
These have winter gaiters. Same condition and options as the summer squad.
This batch have been washed with diluted Vallejo Game Wash Dipping Formula 73300 Sepia Shade. I could scatter their bases (or leave them), but they will me sprayed Matt.
Decisions, decisions...

52nd Oxfordshire Light Regiment
The Light Infantry were uniformed in a similar fashion to the Line, but retained the stovepipe shako, which bore a bugle-horn badge and green plume. The shako with the tuft at the front. Officers were distinguished by wings and carried the curved flank company sabre. Other ranks also wore wings and carried a shorter and lighter version of the Brown Bess musket.
Drummers wore reversed colours and had lace decoration to facings and to sleeve arms and back seams of the jacket. Their sleeves were covered with five, lace chevrons, point up; drums were brass, the hoops usually in the facing colour.

I recently learned that my white plastic MPC kit is a descendant of the Airfix kit. Whooda thunk?
Several companies issued it Stateside.

Toasted wholemeal, streaky bacon grilled to a crisp, HP brown sauce - used to be Hammonds Chop sauce, but I can't find it any more 😢

I've had to take a break for a couple of days, having woken up with a stiff neck. it was really painful on Tuesday, but has eased a little each day since. It is still sore today, but a bit more mobile and I could get a couple of hours at the bench before I needed to rest it again. So a little more paint on the Oxfordshires.

How was the skirt for you, and the interior? The number of seats is scaring me already!
I built it back in 2011 - a lot of plastic has passed through my hands, so memory is quite/very faded

Thanks guys, I read that at Waterloo, because of the weather, they wore blue trousers. The uniform as moulded isn't quite spot on, but they're not a bad set for that.
