I remember reading in Arthur Ward's history of Airfix that they considered a range of aircraft cockpits in, I thing, 1/12 scale (could be wrong about the scale, it's some time since I read the book). One considered was the Lancaster, to be released with a copy of the pilot's notes. That's an idea I would be happy to see Airfix resurrect.

And a crew.

Just had a look at Hannants site and can't see the DH2 or Dolphin, have they gone in the last three hours???
-
The Ferret is the pick of the new releases for me, and it would be nice if Airfix were to release some contemporary figures to go with it. (Not ;holding my breath for that, though).

Just wait for it to turn up in Poundland.

Do it! I've just finished re-reading the first three, about to start on Volume 4 now. Marvellous stuff! -
Buying in those numbers should get you an invite to the Arma Hobbies Christmas party!

Very nice built, I like the home-made bomb sight visible in the bomb-aimer's blister, nice touch! -
It is the schemes, the post-war aircraft are in a silver dope scheme, apart from a Russian aircraft, so not my thing, and, sadly or otherwise, I don't do Facebook.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the Ninack kit they are selling is the post-war version, which is also available from Hannants, and it is the wartime version I am interested in. I also suspect the cost of importing one from the US would be prohibitive. Ah well, I'll just have to make do with the DH9 and the Dolphin.
-
It would never fit in the mancave.
-
Don't judge me!!!
-
Fought against the temptation and lost, a DH9 and a Dolphin on backorder. Prety reasonable prices, all things considered, especially when you compare with Ebay prices . I wish the Ninack had been included, though, I had one before but foolishly sold it on

You could always get a print of Lady Butler's painting 'Scotland For Ever'. https://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=AwrIS.irQEljuNcARBN3Bwx.;_ylu=Y29sbwMEcG9zAzEEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3BpdnM-?p=lady+butler+scotland+for+ever&type=fc_A30C76C6185_s58_g_e_d080122_n1010_c1¶m1=7¶m2=eJw1i0EKgzAQRa8ySwWJExOTisfoqoiLqGkMRiNqsfT0HaFlFvP%2B%2B3znh6Zu7w%2BOKIQUTdYulDlyJLwqvCEvCgr95en7lUBrRgt206yqyDkbSbqO8GWI5vjxIZi8ZAjJ6ZchnjssB3BkWAMJJWt4K5mCWddgT9tN%2FshLoZlQkEzjMYcMgp8sONtPMYV%2B3OJsc46K4XWwm6fZ%2FH9iB%2FfruNDIZPEFrXs%2BVw%3D%3D&hsimp=yhs-2212&hspart=fc&ei=UTF-8&fr=yhs-fc-2212

Another clip from Waterloo, the Scots Greys charge Can't help wondering, though, what happened to the Royal Dragoons and the Inniskillings? It was the Union Brigade after all!
