  1. I'm curious about the 1/48 Bf 110G-4, I wonder is this a new tool or a repop of the Monogram/Promodeller kit. Still a nice kit as I remember it.
  2. Well, I'm delighted at the release programme for next year. I can see most of my modelling cash going on Airfix products, especially if the quality is equall to their latest releases. I can't believe they're doing a BII Lancaster! Anyone want to buy a Paragon conversion set??? I'll certainly be buying at least one BII, possibly more and the retool Dambuster Lanc. The Javelin, the Gladiator, the Vampire T11 and the Bomber Command support set. Looks like being a good modelling year after all
  3. Wow, I don't normally do maritime subjects, but I think I could make an exception for a Flower class. I wonder what the pennant number for Compass Rose was?
  4. They probably will do a Lanc Mk II, a while ago I spent a goodly sum of money on a Paragon Mk II conversion set!
  5. I remember reading somewhere that a senior officer advised crews to 'keep flying east and settle down with a fat Mongolian woman'. Nice prospect, spending the rest of your life in a yurt! Dave
  6. Lovely kit of a beautiful aircraft. Top job!
  7. Just seen this product on Hannants latest e-mail, put it in here for want of a better place! http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/MB35109 Looks like a decent set, but, looking at the rifles in the top left corner of the illustration and I can't imagine what they were thinking of! With the first and the third rifle whoever did it has managed to get a mish-mash of an SMLE and a No. 4! If you take a close look you can see that they are SMLE up to the barrel band and No. 4 up to the muzzle. The third rifle has a No. 4 bayonet fixed. I wonder if the actual pieces are like that?
  8. Great, can't wait to find out what's wrong with it Nice one, Trumpeter, keep these British types coming!
  9. Jets for Jesus? Americans? Gotta be nutters! (Just joking!)
  10. Indeed it it, got a couple in the stash, but 1/144 is a better scale. Remains to be seen how much the GWH will cost
  11. According to Wikipedia (not the most reliable source) KG codes were worn by aircraft operated by: 1380 Conversion Unit 196 Squadron RAF 204 Squadron RAF 81 Operational Training Unit. Don't know about the conversion or training units, but neither 196 nor 204 Squadrons operated Mosquitos.
  12. Noticed this on Hyperscale today, not heard about it before. http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/figure...reviewcs_1.html Looks to be quite a decent set.
  13. That's the Frog kit!? I remember doing this kit years ago. Mine did not look like yours! Amazing!
  14. Love to see a 1/48 Hampden and a Stirling, if Trumpeter can do a Wellington and Tamiya a Lancaster, then surely Airfix can do as much for us bomber fans. The Blenheim family would be good as well. Oh, and why not a Manchester, even if it was 1/72
  15. Oops, that's me completely missing the point Just when I thought I could air a little of my limited knowledge as well!
  16. The General Belgrano was actually a Brooklyn class light cruiser, ex-US navy. I think only the US operated battleships in 1982.
  17. Braddock VC! Now there was a character! Didn't take any sh*t from senior officers and was always right. I still have a treasured copy of 'I Flew With Braddock' by 'George Bourne' which I got one Christmas, don't ask me what year. Didn't the Rover have a series set after the war when Braddock was working on a secret project - a flying disc (!). I'm sure I can vaguely remember this, but no real detail of the story.
  18. I find that pic pretty inspiring too, just not in a modelling sense!
  19. They do look nice! I don't normally do jets, but could make an exception or two for two-seater Harriers!
  20. Maybe it's an early experiment in toss bombing!
  21. Their brains would probably be quite good, though, as they've never been used.
