  1. My Corsair by tamiya, its a great kit my only problem was the wing fit the center section to the outer wing. I did added ignition harness to the engine. The rest is from the box, I did not like the look of the instrument panel with the decal on the back side. I sanded down the clear insert and placed the decal on the front side to give it a more shallow look, and I used 5 minute epoxy for the lens. I mixed the interior green and salmon for the wheel wells. The blue Gray is Mr.colour and Gunze for the Light Gray the decals are Eagle Editions Birdcage Corsair part 2. To weather the model I faded the blue gray by adding white I also used pastels, the worn paint on the wings I painted it alclad, green then blue gray. I let it dry then rubbed it with alcohol and a Q-tip swab. Thanks for looking
  2. Got four done this year FW190D-9 P-47D F-104J Ki-44
  3. Hasegawa kit the only thing I added was seat belts, painted with gunze aqueous and alclad for the metal. Decals are from eagle strike Shokis of the IJAAF part ll. The worn paint was done after the painting and decdal. Did it with model master aluminum and a fine brush. The marking are of aircraft Ki 44 Shoki Type ll Hei. Army Hitachi Kyodo Hiko-Shidan (training Air Division). 1st Hikotia. Mito A/B, Ibaraki, Nov 1944. Flown by Hikotai leader Maj Yoshio Hirose
  4. Here is my Tamiya Dora 1/48 scale, added seat belts, the antennna is stretch sprue and decals are from Komman Deur. Painted with gunze and pastels to weather the model I also used a silver pencel for some of the worn spots. Thanks for looking.
  5. Here is my Tamiya Jug, added to the cockpit and engine. Painted with Gunze the decals are Cutting Edge P-47D Big Jugs Part 2 CED48232. Weathered with pastels and silver pencel, the fade on the paint was done by adding white to the olive drab. The nose cowl red and white trim is painted. The aircraft is P-47D-15-RE Lt. Robert Yaeger (5 victories) 40th FS, 35th FG. Thanks for looking.

  10. Here is my Horten 229B its the 2 seater nightfighter that I made into a single seat day fighter. Its a Luft"46" aircraft in a winter scheme, as for the kit it does not fit well and not a lot detail. I added and scratch built to the cockpit, nose wheel well and landing gear. Painted with gunze paints and decals are from spare sheets. The checkers was also painted. Thanks for looking. Ben

  13. Made more progress on my jug. Most of the painting is done, going to let the yellow dry for a few days then finish the OD on the upper fuselage. the metal is alclad white alum. first then use alclad airframe alum and ModelMaster for some of the wing panels. Thanks for looking. Ben
  14. Here is my Mustang, its been an on and off project the last two years. The interior started with True Details, I did add detail to the fuel tank.
