  1. Great name and flippen heck it defiantly is a small world!
  2. This is a brilliant thread and just the sort of thing that I was hoping to see when I joined. John
  3. Thank you Ralph. The kit is the 1/48th Eduard and the figures are ICM. The Spitfire was built for me by Simon Geliot. I am very pleased with it, he added an after market rear view mirror and radio 'rigging'. I am not sure if this aircraft had the door mounted crow bar but Simon painted both door options for me so the current one can be swopped. The aircraft hanger is by Costal kits, it is a tad to modern but I have some WW2 posters to cover the fire exit signs, danger high voltage and other mod cons. John
  4. Late evening on 15th August 1940, Bob Doe (who today shot down two BF 110s) walks away from his Supermarine Spitfire MK1a. He is accompanied by Australian Pat Hughes. John
  5. Hi every one, I have recently joined the forum. I had been making models for many years but now have arthritis which makes handling small parts almost impossible. I have always been very keen on getting the details on models spot on so now I tend to commission a lot of my models, however I can still hold a paint brush so concentrate on painting the figures to complement anything made for me. I am looking forward to seeing the forum members models and getting to know you all. Happy modeling, John :)
