Thank you very much for your informations, and the general arrangement, i really needed that ! I'll take a look at what you send me. I guess there's a lot of work ahead, but it's really helpfull. On a more general way i'll have to figure out how to model a ships hull ( i'm not bad with blender, but their shapes are really complex, and as much informations as i can about the shape of visible equipments ( chains, cranes, air vrnt, lifeboats and related mechanism. I already got a lot of photos who will help me, so i'll continue to post updates here ! ( but anyway, if anybody have decent quality, on board pictures of Carpathia, i'm interested ! ) What i'll also have to figuere out is what changed when she was "upgraded". I noticed changes in mast, air vents here and there, but i'll really need to dive in that too Thank you, everyone !

Hello ! Long time no see, huh ? I've not abandonned the project ! I've got pretty interesting contacts with Cunard, but sadly no archives who can really save me are avalailble. To be honest, it's way, way harder than i thought. But i made myself a nice little collection of different photos of carpathia and related ships, so i'm trying to put everything together to shape de basics of the model. I'll post more updates in a few weeks, i hope, when i'll have more free time to work correctly on it !

Thank you everyone for you'r answers, i'll start to look at all of that and try to see what i can get ! I'll keep this post updated, until i have the final model built. ( hello, myself in 5 years, how's it going ? ) I'm in touch with them and got somes peoples to contact. Let's see !

Thanks for you'r answer, it's always good to hear ! I already found a lot of interesting pictures with google and basic informations, it's a usefull way to start ! PS: i also got in touch with Steve, his model is truly a piece of art ! ( but i'm also looking for the part beyond the waterline, that's a true horror to get the shape of that part ^^ ! )

Thanks for you'r answers ! I already visited somes online archives from Lloyds and found somes interesting details about her precises overall dimensions ( height, lenght.. ). I've also contacted Swan Hunter a few times ago, but sadly i got no answers. I might try again in a few weeks, i'll try to see. I'll look at all the links you send me ! ( i also got interesting contacts with Cunard, and i'll try to look for the builder of Saxonia, one of closest ship in the design, if i can get any detail )

Hello all ! First of all, iwould like to apologize if i happen to do somes mistakes: i'm from belgium, and still need to improve my english. So, i'm posting because, honestly, i think i need somes guidance and tips in a project. On the long run, i would like to create a detailled 3d model of the Carpathia's exterior, and for this, well... I need ressources. I was already able to get somes pretty interesting ressources regarding her and her general design, but... But to be honest, these a re pretty poor, and the part that's probably de worst is the hull. I just couldn't find any ressources precise enough to get the shape right, and that's getting worst when going beyond the waterliner. So, here i am with my question; does someone knows where i could find ressources regarding the design of the Carpathia, and mostly her hull ? I would highly prefer ressources accessibles without travelling, since i would prefer waiting a couple of times ( but i don't exclude trying to get my hand on original plans if that's the only solution ... ) I heard there were some sressources in the book 'More Miniature Merchant Ships', but does it includes informations beyond the waterline, or does it stops there ? Thank you for you'r help, i have to say i'm pretty new to ship modelling ( even if i already built somes models and i'm pretty good with Blender ), and i think i still have a lot to learn....
