  1. The F-14 is now nearing completion, I'm applying the final decals and then I just need to finish off the Ordnance, undercarriage and seats and then I can call this done! Here is a quick pic before I started decaling, the flash kind of drowns out the weathering, but I'll take some better ones once the decals are all on.

  3. For £16.99 I'll definitely be buying one, even if there are small shape issues, I'll happily spend a few hours fixing them for that price.
  4. Must . . . . . resist . . . . . ordering . . . . .
  5. These are the best I can find, it shows you where on the leading edge the banding starts: http://www.dhc-2.com/XM974_LightningT4_1965_1280.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...4_xm974_arp.jpg http://www.rob.clubkawasaki.com/jas272.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/spixworth/455064911/ http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1056932/ These two are not of a real plane, they are models, but they might have been made by someone who knows what they are talking about: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dazzy1960/3987176209/ http://i466.photobucket.com/albums/rr24/ro...3-5.jpg&t=1
  6. There are some great Bucc videos on Youtube, shame there isn't the one where the American's start cheering them though.
  7. I might be able to contribute a Revell 1/48 Mig-25 if I can stomach all the chopping of plastic that'll be required
  8. I love Tiger Meet jets, I'd definitely be up for this one.
  9. Before I start on the cockpit tub, does anyone know if I need to remove the little pedestal's that the kit seats go onto if I am using the Paragon resin ones? Thanks.
  10. I've just cleaned up the main parts to check how they fit together. It's classic Airfix Bucc Not too bad I suppose, there shouldn't be too many visible seams assuming I join the two halves cleanly!
  11. Thanks. Do you know of anyone making 1/48 replicas of them?
  12. Did they definitely use CBLS-100's at Red Flag '77? The only photo I have from the exercise has a dispenser like this: Rather than this: Any idea what the first one is?
  13. Here is the obligatory shot of all the bits before I start!
  14. Does anyone have a CBLS-100 set in 1/48 I could buy off them? Hannants seem to be out of stock
  15. If I do the 1/24 I think I'll definitely be needing the 6 months!
  16. This does seem like a good opportunity to build my FGR2
  17. I'll definitely be in for this, as a Harrier tribute Either Revell 1/48 GR9 or Airfix 1/24 GR3 (depending on space to put it )
  18. I could always enter with one of my endless supply of Tornado's
  19. Wow, that makes me want to make something Swedish!
  20. While looking for more info an pictures I found these exellennt tales from exercises with the US that the Bucc took part in: http://buccsociety.conforums.com/index.cgi...;num=1223201046
  21. I've been out of the game for nearly a year after some really busy months and then moving house , but I'm back! I am currently painting my F-14, but one that is done I will crack on with this GB. I've got the Airfix kit, Heritage Aviation intakes, Paragon seats, Eduard interior and exterior PE and the MA decal sheet. Does anyone have any photos of a Bucc in this sand/green camo? I've not been able to find any yet, so I might have to just go off the paint scheme on the decal sheet and hope it's right. Also, what stores would it have carried, I think they would have had an AN/ALQ-101 ECM Pod, anything else? (The scheme can be seen here: http://www.blackburn-buccaneer.co.uk/S2_XV...S2_XV160-2.html )
  22. I'll enter with a Royal Navy F-14A from the Falklands conflict.
  23. Trying to flog it for £29.99 when it has a £12.49 sticker on the box still! I don't think they'll have much success, especially as for £36 you can get a Hase one.
