  1. Ok, thanks. I painted mine Humbrol 164, looking at this photo it looks a possibility: http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Ha...neer/0370175/L/
  2. Is the intake trunking on this one dark grey or white? It's very hard to tell from pictures.
  3. It's all buttoned up and starting to look like a Bucc. Hopefully things should speed up a lot now! Pics once I've sorted the seams out.
  4. Ah, excellent, thanks! Saves me a few minutes of sanding and glueing
  5. More questions about XV352, don't know if you can help! Did it have the RWR pods on the wings at Red Flag? Just before the airbrake on the tail the finish looks like bare metal, is that right, or is it a shade of grey? What colour is the inside of the canopy, it looks like a cream. Best Humbrol paint? Thanks!
  6. Finally getting somewhere with this, cockpit is almost done. After that it should go together fairly quickly! Does anyone have any dimensions for the twin bomlet carrier seen here:
  7. Build it, measure how long it is and work out what scale it is from that! 1/25.6 could be the next big thing
  8. Bucc here: http://www.welshmodels.co.uk/RAFpage.html Not sure about a UK Phantom, maybe get a F-4J to replicate the Phantoms that were brought in to replace the ones sent to the Falklands?
  9. This pic is quite good, just ignore the blue bands for a live round. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm..._Sidewinder.jpg
  10. I normally go for Humbrol 127 body, 53 seeker head/front fins, 56 for the metal bands and metal parts of the rear fins, 11 for the metal nearest the nose and Revell 9 for the very tip.

  12. Sidewinder done, here are a few more photos from the other side:
  13. I think I finally have the F-14 finished! Here are a couple of photos, I am just waiting for a Klear coat on an AIM-9M to dry then I'll do some proper finished photos. Looking at these I think I'll do a touch more weathering on the wheel hubs, the canopy isn't glued down yet either which is why it looks like it is slightly too high!
  14. If you do have the decals for the older kit that would be brilliant. Those are some nice looking decals, I may move on to them once I have all these Revell ones done!
  15. Thanks, I had a look at it, but they only do RAF schemes, not any of the special German schemes.
  16. Hi, I bought this kit from modelhobbies.co.uk a few weeks ago, and the image on the product page was of this kit: But when it arrived, it was actually this version of the kit (same product code): Would it be possible to email Revell and get the other decals sent, or would they no longer have them? As I'm pretty sure the first is out of production now.
  17. One or two shots I took in here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=158325&hl=

  19. I'm trying to build all of Revell's 1/144 special scheme Tornados, so I can add some of them to the mix. They don't take long!
  20. Does anyone have any tips for the landing gear? The way Airfix have designed them you have to attach the wheel when you join the two halves of the leg together, which will be a massive pain for painting etc. I'm a bit wary about cutting off the pins for the wheel, as I'm not sure how I can attach the wheel after with a strong enough join to hold the weight of the model. Cheers.
  21. I hadn't noticed that! The wings are getting decaled too, I'm getting this done by next weekend
