  1. Thanks guys. I'm thinking of doing the Marineflieger one next. Anyone got any other preferences?
  2. Finished the GR.1 now, here are some pics: Next to it's (dusty) German cousin:
  3. Had a search and couldn't find anything, so what's the correct grey for the cockpit interior? Is it admiralty grey like the Tornado?
  4. I've decided to do with this one, no space for the 1/24 Airfix kit at the moment! I'm modelling this airframe: http://www.airfighters.com/photo_19944.jpg A few quick questions before I really get going, what's the pod under the fuselage (and where can I get one?), and will the AGM-65s in the Hasegawa weapons set be ok, or are they slightly older models that will need some modifying? Finally, is there anything to watch out for in the kit? I'm getting a resin seat to replace the kit one, but is the rest of it fairly accurate? Cheers!
  5. True. I was thinking the GR.9, I've found this pic, what's the little pod under the fuselage? And which model AGM-65s are they? http://www.airfighters.com/photo/19944/M/U...rier-GR9/ZG478/ Thanks.
  6. I'm going to be doing a 1/48 Revell Harrier, I'm going to do one of the options that come with the kit. So what sort of ordnance would I be able to put on them to keep it realistic? I don't want to leave it looking too empty! Thanks.
  7. I wanted one when I had to do all the 'No Step' decals
  8. Decals on! Just need to do a few touch ups and seal them in with another layer of Klear. Does anyone know the BS numbers for the yellow and green on the decals? There are some gaps on the leading/trailing edges I'd like to cover up with paint if possible.
  9. Shiny bits are now painted, decalling can start later today. There is rather a worrying amount of tiny stencils to go with this one!
  10. Progress so far: Done most of the painting, just need to add some Klear, then do the metals with some Alclad. What colour is the light grey on the area of the wings that goes inside the body when the wings are swept meant to be?
  11. Good old superglue works well for me. When cutting the small parts I put some masking tape over the back of the fret so they don't ping off into the unknown as soon as you cut the off
  12. All GR4As have the Linescan and the little orange windows on the side too. They are left over from when GR1As were used for recce, not sure if they are used for anything now on the GR4s, probably just too much hassle to remove them.
  13. I don't remember the FG.1 or FGR.2 in service for those countries, but whatever
  14. That's very true! The Don Color site was great when it was working, it's gone now though Edit: Actually, it does seem to be back. I've saved all their Tornado schemes just incase!
  15. It does look MiG-15ish, really confused my eyes for a minute!
  16. Camo is now done, pictures this evening hopefully. Does anyone know if the Revell F.3 is one or two kits? I can get the Dragon one for the same price but it definitely has two kits in there.
  17. What happened is Revell released two different kits with the same product code. I have the one with the black panther on the tail, but not the other. Whenever I see somewhere listing the older version for sale I ask which version it is, but they hardly ever reply Modelzone did and changed the item picture on their website beause of it which was good of them. If you have a spare of the old version I'd happily buy the decals off you
  18. Does he have to warn the CAA when he takes it flying?!!?
  19. I've got their Rafale too, the newer kits are really nice, I'm tempted to get the whole set as they take up so little room! The older F-14A isn't quite so nice, and the MiG-29 isn't very accurate either apparently.
  20. Cheers, I'm watching them all like a hawk Hopefully some paint might be going on this evening!
  21. Thanks, I'll have a look. I'm not a fan of ebay, but if it's the only source!
  22. I find these quite fun actually, a welcome distraction from the 1/48 kits I normally do where you can get bogged down trying to add detail to areas and endlessly sanding and filling seams
