  9. Lovely work I really like the way it's displayed, also reminds me when I used to watch the F15Cs doing approaches into Riyadh old airport straight over the top of our villa in the early 80s. Ian
  10. Hi Folks, just to prove I do build things other than Sabres, this has been a long term build held up by you've guessed it Sabres. The kit is the 1/48th RVHP one and has to be the finest resin kit I have ever clapped eyes on,the fit of the parts easily exceeds a great number of injection moulded plastic kits. The decals are from the kit and the spares box and the MATS badges came from a very kind gentleman in America.Just the rescue markings around the windows to put on and fit the props and floats plus a few small parts.Any comments welcome. Ian
  11. Lovely model,I do like aircraft with the training scheme applied. Ian
  12. There were CF 100s and T33s as well,now there's a thought Ian
  13. Nice model, the USAF museum example is painted in this scheme. Ian

  16. Answers to the queries all are 1/48th scale,as to the fascination with the Sabre I am afraid the Canadian Air Force is to blame. They stored, maintained an eventually scrapped most of the remaning European based Sabres at Prestwick airport for many years,I remember walking round them on the Scottish Aviation site many times.I also have about twelve RCAF ones built. Ian
  17. Hi Folks An overview plus a few of my favourite schemes from my RAF Sabre collection[no wonder the wife thinks I am an anorak]The kits are mainly Academy with the odd Monogram and Hasegawa thrown in,there is even an ESCI one in the pile somewhere. The slatted wing ones have the Revell wings from an F86D modified and fitted. The decals were mainly Aeromaster,if anyone alse uses these check your references as all is not quite correct with them Ian
  18. Always liked the Coastal Command scheme, your Halifax looks good in it Ian

  23. Just to through another anomaly in if anyone is interested in Navy TT 20s at least one of them had a lime green colour instead of yellow undersides. One of these was present at the Abbotsinch air show in 1962in this colour I believe it was based in Malta so could it have been a local colour? Does anyone know? Ian
