OK... Well built it over weekend more or less... So painting next weekend (depending on how I get on with masking the canopy!).

Thanks for the advice @Vultures1 @Hook Builkt a few quickies all in one go so far, but wanting to start to have a better approach now! Paint bombs etc on or off sprue?

Making progress... Question... Still working out best approaches for things... Should I paint first and then paint and add bombs later or add them then paint it?

OK so progress was a bit slow as wanted to finish my 1/35 King Tiger - now done... So back to this. I've buggered up the clear screen - guessing my glue hand was a bit heavy... First time I've had the fogging issue, so I have promptly bought some Micro Kristal Klear for future builds! Also... Initially I primed with my usual grey primer... I am wanting to paint it a bright yellow/blue. Little did I know yellow would be such a bugger to do. About 8 coatings later and it was'nt very yellow, so here it is wiped down best I could and sprayed white. It won't be my prettiest build cos of the screen and initial paint woes, but I'm determined to finish the bloody thing the best I can nonetheless

Oh... If anyone has built this before and has a printed copy of the instructions any chance I could have it!? I seem to have lost it and having to use the PDF file I found on Scalemates, which is'nt terrible but would be easier if I had the paper copy! TIA

New build on the way... Always liked this plane when seen it in films, tv or the news... Cockpit started... Will build into the fuselage next, but I have read it can be fun! So... The big lesson learnt from my Messerschmitt Me 262 build was NOSE WEIGHT, when asked for. Ballsed that up, so, I pre-armed myself with Liquid Gravity for such a future occasion... And so we come to the A-10. Use blue tack/card to make holding spaces - not the most elegant. But think it'll do the job, I'm sure I'll refine how this is done as I grow. Anyway, weighing this cockpit it weighs approx. 36g, so hoping that'll be enough! Anyway... As alwways, I'm never in a hurry and will post pics as I remember to take them! Hope you enjoy! Thinking ahead to the main painting... I do have some Revell aluminium in a rattle can - used on my Mustang P-51B and was somwehat happy with the finish ... But I was wondering on using Halfords Mazda Aluminium Car Spray Paint, or any advice/thoughts on how to achieve the best aluminium look?

I was trying to be fancy - lol... I'll take some more pics and with better lighting!

OK calling it "done". 1st ever vehicle, brush painted, 1st time weathering. Be gentle, this is my 1st build after 30 years, last built a scale model when I was 15-ish. If you want to re-cap my build:

Enjoy! I was same, 1st since I was about 15 - 30 years ago. Over the last year built 3 or 4 1/72 scale planes (some of it you can find on here) and I have been working on a 1/35 Tamiya King Tiger (Link below if interested!). Likewise the world of moddeling is not what I left when I was 15 - lol. The mentioned King Tiger I have taken my time (due to work, life etc etc!) and has taken me around 10 months to get to wher you see it in my post. Its is now complete except I only have some weathering to attempt (will be my first weathering experiance), so hopefully doing that in the next day or 2. My father-in-law who got be re-started with this ([start sarcacm]much to the pleasure of my wife [end sarcacm]), has just bought/given me a starter airbush and compressor (again, much to the pleaseure of my wife), so I'm looking forward to learning that over the next few builds (I have a stash already, I have about 12 under the desk to build!). For you're questions, I use the Tamiya rattle can for primer - Hobby craft, seems to last a while so far... Hint first time or 2 I prob over sprayed, by a lot so short gentle bursts!). As for paint at points of glue, not needed to - yet!, prob depends on kit, paints etc etc. Main thing I wanted to say was, who cares if you build it in a week or a year, if you build 1 a year or 100, do it at you're own pace and enjoy it
