The excellent 4+ publication on the Tempest has 3 photos of the prototype HM595 from September 1942, around the time of its initial test flight on the 2nd, all showing the 4 blade prop, 5 spoke wheels, Typhoon tail unit and car door type canopy. No cannon are visible in the wings and it was later fitted with an enlarged tail plain and dorsal fin fairing but no date or photos are given/shown.

Lovely build and finish, even if the kit itself doesn't match your undoubted skills. I agree that the Airfix rendition is far better and more accurate, especially the canopy, but you've done a grand job with what you had to work with so very impressed.
