  1. Hi Lynx 7 not seen you on here before so hello from another big Lynx fan. I did the Belcher kit a couple of years back it took me ages to make it but well worth the trouble. Well done on your biuld I love the scratch work your doing. I get to see the real ones alot as I live in Yeovil and Westlands is just down the road. You can here it before you see them and it sounds like any other Lynx but with a slight twist because of the updated engines and the exhausts going up. I am currently working on a 4 foot Lynx as I fly remote control ones it going to take alot of work as the scale I am not used too. If you need any other information on Lynx I might be able to help Keep up the great work. One last tip you might want to add some kind of carbon rod under each main blade as over the months the blades will start to droop and it looks crap. Justin
  2. Hi Shaun I too was there for the day and was well and truly Lynx'd out by the end of it. I was in heaven < the wife on the other hand >! Top top pictures again I must say you do have a gift for getting great shots O and the £££££££££ camera must help too. Justin

  4. Hi Shaun Great pictures and even better as the weather was very grey on the night. I love going to this one you get the chance to get right up close with no one in your way. Best heli for me the Mk3 Lynx do have any more of them ? I got talking to the pilot as the old man used to look after them. All the best
  5. Hi Guys I had this same problem when I wanted to paint my 1/48 scale has 2 Lynx. I tried loads but ended up using the Xtra colour paint a the tamiya one is not that close. I have the luck that I have access to a real one so I could double check it. Funny but the real helicopter at Yeovilton museum had the same problem as they could not get the genuine paint anymore when westlands painted it. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu322/justinjgy/021.jpg

Hi Tony Intakes I left till last and thought they would be a right pain but turned out very simple,I had got some fine mesh we use at work to filter fuel cut to shape and added black electrical tape in thin strips then painted it silver.then just some ink wash and job done.If you want some I have some left and could make you some.

  16. Good evening all. Well at long last I have finished my Lynx Helicopter it only took 2 years on and off to complete but it had to be right. The model has been made in memory of my farther who worked on this aircraft while on board HMS Ardent. The helicopter was changed just before Ardent set out to the Falklands war. I had more pictures and information on this aircraft <XZ244> than the aircraft that was destroyed when the ship was attacked<XZ251> The kit was hard to make and after not making a model for some 15 years took some time.It is the Belcher 1/48 scale model and I added as much detail as I could to it. I hope you like it. Thanks Tony for the instructions on loading pictures took some time but I got there. !!! [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
