Hi all, I am on here most of the time looking at what you are all building and thought I would share my Lynx build that I have been doing for some time.I have been watching all the Airfix kits being made will start one soon I think. The kit came from Hongkong but is very simple and has no detail at all on it so I am having to make every lump and bump on it. Going to get about 80% of it made then get the mechanics for the inside. Going to be fitting a 4 blade head and 4 blade tail rotor system on it. Enjoy the pictures and will up date as I go this is going to take some time !! Justin

HI Tony Some great shots from down there. My Farther was on HMS Ardent when she went down and I am always on the look out for information and pictures that are not the normal stuff you see on the web. I have met a good number of dads mates over the years and most have pics and great stories of him and what happened all those years ago. I have been down there twice now in 83 I was nine and then again for the 25th anniversary. The stop of have way looks the same as when I was there nothing much has changed at all. Great pics again got any of Has 2 Lynx's ?? Ps my uncle was aircrew on wessex down there Peter < Wally > Hammond. J

HI All Just thought I would share my most treasured parts I have around the my house. I lost my farther in the Falklands back in 82 and after tracking down one of the last Lynx Helicopters he worked on I not only got the chance to fly the old girl but when they de-mobbed it a year ago I got to have some parts of it. I was let loose on the cab and got the cyclic lever, switches from the dash, temp sensor from passenger door,Compass from the dash top and the green nylon cover that goes over the floatation bags. I was then in for a very special present when I was presented by the boss of 815 Squadron a rear tail rotor cut down with the clock from the dash installed in it. It is a very nice part and is on show in the lounge. I hope you like the pictures

Morning Tony Got Monday off so just checking on here for any new things and what a surprise your doing another lynx. I believe the box art of the blue Lynx is the same as the airfix kit and if so is XZ229 I flew in this for the 25th anniversary down in the falklands. I guess your making it into a Mk3 as the said about the blades ? Well done look forward to the update pics. J.

Since we last talked I have flown one of my dads old cabs at Middle wallop as it was being stripped as part of the donor system.Yes I did get some of the parts got a great bit that the guys made for me it is the rear tail rotor with the dash clock machined into it. Would love to show you some time. Talk soon
