  1. Coming on very nice and great job with the weathering all of the cabs are very old and look anything but new these days. great work.
  2. Ok been working on the under side had to remove section from the rear as antenna is fitted at the front on early cabs. Top panels will need a bit of filling to make them look nice. Front cowling opened up front intake vent. Opened rear cowling too
  3. Main body coming together started working on the underneath.Lots to do and lots of bits to remove and replace with early type parts.
  4. Filed down the exhaust ports and will add more detail when fitted to the body. This part of the top engine cover replaces the airfix one as it will not have the cow horns fitted.More filling needed to make it look nice. Rear engine over needs a bit shaping to make it fit nice and have opened up the cooling area's.
  5. Ok Chaps, Long over due I know but an update and some pics.

  8. Thats very nice I did the same 3 years ago on a 360 Ferrari as my friend just bought one.I painted it in TDF dark blue had to get the paint mixed for it at the time. Will have to do it all again as at the weekend we sold it and he has now got F430 in TDF bugger.
  9. Well done on the model its not very often I see the words HMS Ardent on this forum so I looked deeper and found your nice little model. I lost my farther on the ship back in 82 and your information on the attack made me think again about what had happened. Well done on a nice little model my friend
  10. Started working on the main parts have had alot to do to get it how I wont it.I have loads of pics from my flight and loads from the net so have been adding as much as I can. Added detail to the heater pipes in the foot well and making some wiring details to the foot wells too. Seats are painted as they were in the cab I flew the belts were a pain to make but did them out of making tape in the end. The rest of the inside to follow.
  11. Top dash is from the Belcher kit Had to copy the right side of the dash and mirror it on the other side,Im pretty happy how it is going.
  12. Ok Chaps here we go been, working on this for a little while so thought I would get some shots on here to show you. I have been waiting for the 1/48 Lynx from Airfix for a long time I made the Belcher kit years ago but not happy with detail and it was a bugger to make as many will tell you. I have watched people making the Lynx but had to wait till the conversion kit came out as I wanted to make the mk3 model as I had flown in the past.Main problems I have are the Lynx I had flown was a duel control aircraft from 702 the training squadron and so alot of the cockpit would need to be custom made.
  13. These look great I am struggling with mine as I am doing a mk3 dual control and the decals / dash are for mk8 only, more work lol
  14. Calm down boys just enjoy it how you wont it.
  15. I blame my OCD on the Lynx down to him but yes he was a great man. Still working on my model will start a thread soon.

  18. looking good, im still trying to find the right colours to do mine.I have got to scratch up a new dash as the mk3 i am doing is a dual stick trainer. will post some pics on the new project.
  19. Good luck with the build I got my kit today from my local store as a thank you from him as I look after his ferrari. Just got to clear my desk from my big Lynx and get cracking. justin
  20. I drove one of these when they first came out. I was running a valeting company in Yeovil and looked after a Mitsubushi dealer.Great car and handled very well in the corners thanks to that 4 wheel drive and rear wheel steer. Great looking model look forward to the finished pictures.
  21. Hi Tony Thanks for sharing all your pictures and memories with us I have realy enjoyed looking at them as most people I have spoken to in the past have not had any to share. Would love to meet up some time as I feel I could talk for hours with you. All the best Justin
  22. will have a look are they fitted to the main body or on the sponsons ?? http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/lofiver...915449-100.html like this ?? on the tail boom
  23. These were from my flight in my dads old cab hope there some help to you.
  24. Sponsons starting to take shape, with all this filler I hope it will fly later. They both look pretty good copied all the shapes from one side and then did the other. First time I have used Plasticard and I must say it is very useable. Green section will be the floatation bags I have the real section of plastic removed form the real Lynx XZ234.
