  1. Very very nice but agree more pics of this great looking model.Well done
  2. Nice one tony you have produced a MINI ME for your self. Great work as always I look forward as do us all to the completed model.
  3. Ok It's not ready lol the rotor blades took longer than I thought and the fact I bought a new push bike might have something to do with it too. I just need to fit the blades and take some good pics of it. I looked at the first pic I took and I have been building it for 6 months !!! seems longer.
  4. Ok the last post before the final pictures in the gallery. Realy pleased with the door came out even better than I thought. Just have the main rotor blades to finish and install so should have it done for the weekend. I hope !
  5. Nice one Tony I remember the first ones I showed you all those years ago seems like yesterday when I was doing my blue Has 2
  6. Marcdb71 Glad I could be of help. I have a tricky bit to do as I do not use a airbrush and need to do the main rotors but not to keen on using the decals as there the wrong colour.
  7. lol O i see you have seen it. Im almost there just doing the decals and the main rotors should have it done this week.
  8. Fmansam, if you look at my Lynx build a did a simple guide to making the fod covers.
  9. Has 3 Lynx will be amazing when you do one as you that is my first love LOL. I will be getting one straight away as my Airfix one is coing to the end.
  10. Well done Tony the scratch work is on another planet I have done a similar idea with the hydraulic pack level but on a smaller scale.I love the rivets and this is a must on that scale as it looks great on the Airfix model. How did you do them ? On the larger remote control ones they use a syringe and a very small needle and glue.
  11. Amazing work love the HAS 2 Lynx on the back. Well done.
  12. next problem is the rear tail rotor as it's a mk3 the blades in the kit not only go the wrong way but are the wrong type. The comversion kit does not solve this as the parts have to be put together so can have the correct rotation but are still the later type of blade. I have sanded down the blade base as this is the faulty area and will build them up when fitted on the hub. What a pain !
  13. OK I thought I would try a simple mod to help other out with a simple way of doing the fod covers. In the past I have done the mesh and it does look very good but I know people sometimes struggle to get a good finish so here is another option. I started but sanding down the clear covers that come in the kit to make them a bit thinner. Then after trying some different tapes I settled on some normal white paper than had been screwed up then flattered back out. This was then wrapped around and glued to the clear intake cover. Then trim as needed on the back and check the fit on the model. Then painted gloss red and toned down when I weather the model. I'm sure when fitted they will look ok I just wanted something simple this time that did not take ages and in the process might help others.
  14. I agree I think it would only have the inflateable fitted if it was being used to carry people but that said there is not much weight to it.
  15. Looks very good I looked at the instruction seat and as a Lynx spotter most of the extra bits are very nice but under stand that some have been replaced just for the hell of it and do not add anymore detail. still well done.
  16. Will be keeping an eye on this one as I think I will do an army version soon.
  17. Very nice what scale are they 1/18 ? I'v just bought the Tamiya 1/12 Enzo I cant wait to get it.
  18. I have been out to the base today a taken more close up shots of the mk33 they have out there and its all coming on very well. Just got the rotors to do and then get the decals and weathering done. Not looking forward to decals as almost all of them do not come with the kit. GULP !!
  19. Tony dont be a bitch there's nothing wrong with a navy one lol ! Great Lynx Im looking forward to the rotor decals might paint them too, well done.
